Great house, great location!

Amazing beach and near town.. Bonus publix few minutes away

We couldn't have asked for a better house, the views were spectacular, the house was huge and tons of amenities, beach access, ton of parking, private pool, etc. Perfect for a guys golf trip. Will return every year!

A great beach house in a fantastic location, tarnished by awful and non-existent customer support. Pros: big, bright house with high ceilings, on a quiet, dead-end street, right on the beach. Short trip to downtown, close to a grocery store, excellent location overall. Big lovely balcony with an amazing view and rocking chairs, enough bathrooms for a big group. Very clean when we arrived. Cons: Beyond past critiques of the tiny pool, somewhat tired appearance of the house, and silly setup with too many twin beds, the vacation management experience with Vacasa was very unpleasant. Check-in is at 4 pm and, though there was no one staying at the house for 2 days before we arrived, we could not confirm early check-in in advance, even when we offered to pay for it (very inconvenient when you're coming from out of state). The house lacked several basics that would have made for an easier stay: no laundry detergent, no additional trash bags, no tupperware or saran wrap, no cooking oil, no beach gear (there are a few leftover beach toys presumably from past guests, that's it). And, it is truly impossible to get help or answers from Vacasa. We were traveling with small children and had a few questions in advance to ensure we were set up for their stay—I sent several messages through the booking platform and never received a response, spent nearly 2 hours on the phone, talked to 5 different customer support agents, and still could not confirm any details or get meaningful help. In one of these conversations, I was told there are no beach towels provided for guest use and was sent the contact info for a vendor in Miami to rent them (FYI: there actually are plenty of beach towels at the house). The Vacasa customer support agents were clearly not local—likely an offshore service—and were not empowered (perhaps even punished?) if they connected me to local support. To the homeowner: I understand the benefits of using a property management service like Vacasa, but strongly urge you to reconsider. What would have been a 5-star experience at your beautiful house was unfortunately ruined by our experience with them.

Loved the main floor balcony and the 7 rocking chairs. The elevator was a godsend.

The location and the views from the decks were absolutely stunning. The views called you to the deck to just sit and relax with a hot cup of coffee in the mornings and cold drinks later in the day and the evening. If you want to feel like you are living right on the beach....THIS is the place. The elevator was a huge help with our elderly guests. My only regret is that we didn't book a longer stay.

It would have been better to have a larger bed in the larger room instead of three more twin beds. Seems 4 twin beds should be enough.

We loved the fact that the beach was right outside the door! It was a beautiful home!

Our family 👪 loves everything about Pirates Paridise. We have adults, young and old, teenagers, children, and infant. There's something for everyone. The facility is clean and fully equipped. You want the perfect view of the beach and ocean, this is it. We love it here and we'll be returning next year.

A beautiful well maintained super clean property. Great area, easy beach access. Shopping and restaurants nearby. Could not have been happier from checkin to checkout.

The view says it all. The house had plenty of room for all of us. It was hot but we were able to cool it down the first day.

The view from the house is absolutely stunning. Just steps from the beach! Plenty of room for our family of 10 to spread out and enjoy our stay. Everything was clean and the kitchen was very well stocked. We strongly recommend staying here!

It is a beautiful home on the water. Hearing the waves and watching the dolphins play in the morning is amazing. Morning coffee and sitting on the deck was such a delight! I would like to recommend that instead of three bedrooms with twin beds that they have more queen or king beds. The mattresses could be updated with the exception of the Master Bedroom which is totally amazing! Location was perfect. We appreciate you sharing you beautiful home. I hightly recommend staying here!

Don't let negative reviews affect your decision for renting this property. This house is way bigger from what the pictures show, it is extremely clean, and the view is beyond compare!! The beds were comfortable, and the showers were great! There was plenty of room for the eleven of us. We really enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs (7) and listening to the crashing waves while gazing at a panoramic star filled sky at night and watching the boats going in and out of the inlet. We've stayed in ocean front houses before but never on an inlet, we all agreed the inlet was way better and you only have to walk a couple of hundred feet away to be on the coast. Big kudos to the owners for keeping this house in such great shape due to the constant onslaught of salt air. We lived on the ocean for a few years and know how hard it is. Also, there is a Publix a few blocks away for your convenience. And the pizza place next door to Publix has some of the best pizza this side of Brooklyn!! And last but not least, you are a ten-minute ride to Historic St. Augustine!

The location is on the beach on a dead end street. The area is not full of tourists and the environment is peaceful. The house is not brand new and luxury, but it is peaceful and appointed well enough.

Location, location, location. Perfect house for 12 people. A real gem, truly a pirates paradise.

On the positive side, the property is nicely located and central to St. Augustine. Beautiful views. On the negative side, It wasn't ready at 4 PM for check in, and interior not as clean as expected. The pool was also not clean. It took six days and many phone calls for the pool to be serviced (out of the two weeks we rented the property) - so nearly half of our vacation. Otherwise, it's a great spot.

This house was in an amazing! Excellent location, plenty of room, well stocked, and everything was working. The one wish was that the house would have been a little cleaner. The guest before us must have had a dog with long black hair because black dog hair was all over the place. However, even with the dog hair I would still rent it again and recommend the house for others.

Plus - House was nice, location was great. Sleeping accommodations were just fine. Panoramic views and enjoyed watching the daily parade of boats. Elevator made moving in/out exponentially easier. Finally a rental home that provided enough trash & recycle containers! Fridge & laundry machines were wonderful! Great dish and glassware choice! Con - Feel that pool size was a bit deceptive as viewed via photos. Oven was pretty soiled and cooking temp within was uneven. Downstairs 2nd bedroom bathroom had moldy shower curtain; 3rd bathroom shower curtain was inadequate, shower flooded floor mat consistently when in use; 4th bedroom had cracked window behind twin daybed, weld on left end piece of daybed was broken, potential safety hazard for children. Other - Pool cleaner arrived midday on Friday though soiled anomaly was reported the Saturday upon arrival. No potholders, ouch! All in all, we had a fine time and would recommend this rental.

Pros- fantastic view, lots of parking, easy access to the beach, great deck rockers, plenty of bedrooms (heads up master has king, second floor bedroom has a queen bed but the rest have twin beds) but was not an issue for our group. All bedrooms had TV's, clean towels and bathrooms. Kitchen has everything needed to cook for a large crowd, all appliances are updated and AC keeps house cold. House was very clean when we arrived. Elevator came in handy when loading suitcases/food etc- pay attention to the directions and it's very easy to use. Turnkey was very easy to communicate via text and addressed our needs fast.
Cons- initially we thought the pool (which is very small- photo makes it seem larger) was dirty so we didn't use it until they sent someone out to clean it- but it was not dirt - it was staining from the hurricane- would have been nice for them to communicate that when we complained at check in.
Grill tanks were empty so we had to fill it but they agreed to reimburse and even sent out another tank. No beach towels, chairs or umbrellas- what is there seems to have been left by other guests and most were old/broken. Wasn't an issue for us as my sister lives near so we borrowed their beach gear but you will need to bring your own.

All and all a fantastic experience and we had an awesome family vacation.

Reviewer Comments: Beautiful location,lovely beach, but the house was dirty-especially the floors, and not well maintained as far as black mold in master shower, and front door needing to be replaced. Had loose kitchen faucet fixed during our stay. Towels were extremely grimy and need to be replaced. If you're particular about your lodging, think twice or be prepared to lower your standards.
