Came to the mountains for the Land of Oz in Autumn. The treehouse is within walking distance. Very quite and cozy location.

My family and I stayed for the long weekend. The property is located in a high elevation so it was quite cool - a welcome change from the summer heat we have been getting. It is a charming little house and our stay was pretty comfortable for 3 of us.
We saw a lot of deers and the outlook is quite close - we hiked to it one morning. Keeping the windows open during the evening and night definitely kept everything cool. We loved all the little touches around the house.
The steps down to the property could have been better maintained but seem to be safe and sturdy. It is definitely not for anyone who has a mobility issue. The property is part of cluster of similar looking houses built on the side of a hill so you won't get the feel of "out of nowhere" feeling but the view is pretty wide open so it is still relaxing.
The main bathroom shower was not very well cleaned when we arrived and a body soap was not empty. We mentioned the need to refill the body soap to the contact person but it was not refilled during our stay - we used the other shower instead for the rest of the stay. We sent a picture of the main shower and got the acknowledgement back.
All in all, a good place to stay but I could be better. A little better care outside the property (steps, railings, deck, etc) could make this property even better.

We enjoyed our stay, it was clean and accessible. We slept well after our long hike up Grandfather mountain!

Very comfortable cabin. The owners were responsive and worked with us. Lots of wildlife around despite being in a subdivision. The ski area is 2 blocks away.

Cozy quarters. Outside deck area needed fresh paint and all recyclables were left from the last guests. 😟 We appreciated the fully stocked kitchen and extra comfy beds. Thanks!

The house was clean and had everything for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is well stocked, and the space is very well used, it didn't feel crowded at all. We had a brief visit from 3 deer on the back porch and was wonderful.

We had a wonderful time staying in the Tree House, both when we were there, enjoying the house, and when hiking in Beech Mountain and other activities in the general area. Two suggestion that I hope will be helpful. The electric can opener does not work. A hand turn can opener would be very helpful. We had to use our pocket knife to open cans. Also, the ladder for the bunk beds slid down several times. You might consider attaching it to the upper bunk for safety.

We enjoyed our stay . The beds were comfortable and the house is clean. The location is close to dining and grocery stores. The master bath is a little small, but the water pressure is great in the shower. I would definitely recommend staying here.

My daughter and I recently stayed in Beech Mountain for her spring break and we had a blast. The cabin was perfect for us and had everything we needed. We hope to visit again soon. Cheers!

We had a great time at this cottage. Beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed to make quick meals. The bathrooms are small but functional. Overall we had a great stay!

The cabin looks as good as it dows in the pictures, with beautiful views all around and a wood-burning fireplace in the family room. Unfortunately, the weekend that we visited had a lot of snow accumulation, which prevented us from going out. We enjoyed the cabin to the fullest. Dan was amazing and kept checking on us throughout our stay to ensure our safety during the blizzard and provided instructions to stay warm. Overall an excellent experience, and would love to visit again.

Lovely accommodations. This VRBO was in the perfect location for access to Beech Mtn as well as to Banner Elk and surrounding areas. The outdoor Chiminea was very nice for s'mores and evening fun. We loved staying here! One thing to note is the bathrooms were very small and could use a deep clean.

The Treehouse is the perfect name. The owner was very helpful. Quiet place with loads of wildlife. Had our coffee on the deck in the company of two beautiful deer.

Quiet Treehouse Full of Character!
We were so pleased with our stay at the Mountain Treehouse! We definitely felt at home and the owners made sure their guests felt welcomed. The views were incredible and the house itself was filled with so much character. It was evident the house held a lot of family history and we appreciated that.
Dan was an incredible host and was very good about communicating with us during our arrival, departure, and whatever we needed in between! The house was very clean when we arrived and even had been warmed up before our arrival. The surrounding town itself is filled with charm and many places to eat and explore. We ended up eating at Brick Oven Pizzeria, which Dan had suggested, and it was a great family restaurant. There are also many hikes close by and skiing. All in all, the trip was fantastic and I am sure we will be back soon and would stay nowhere else :)

Our family of 6 had a fabulous stay here!!!! We were skiing for 2 days and we loved the set up in the entry for all our cold damp gear! The wood burning stove was so cozy and the drying rack on top took care of all our wet gloves!! The beds were comfy and we had a fun time playing games and having hot chocolate. Kitchen was well stocked for making our simple meals. Thanks for the easy and excellent communication by the owners. We had a great stay! Will be back next winter!
