The Sealy Cottage sealed the deal on a perfect beach getaway ! I had not been to Galveston in over 30 years and was not quite sure what to expect. The location was great for us. The neighborhood is very safe and cute, parking is easy with the residential guest pass, access to the beach is totally walkable, and the beaches weren’t crowded during our visit. We walked to the beach every morning and evening and took looonnng walks all the way down to the end of East Beach. The dog was in heaven. I had to do some work while there and the Internet was fast, and the dining room table was the perfect desk. We cooked most meals at the cottage and the kitchen was well appointed. The beds were comfortable, and the furnishings were very nice. Overall, it just couldn’t have been any better. Highly recommend.

Our family really enjoyed this house and its amenities, especially the proximity to the strand. The parking passes for the beach and street made things very convenient. We loved the garage with its lights and games for the kids. All in all a very cozy and accommodating stay. Would stay again and recommend to families looking for a cozy place near the beach.

Short walk to the beach, 1 mile from downtown (walkable), wonderful neighborhood to bike. Close to restaurants. House is beautifully decorated and clean, well-stocked and beds were comfortable. Communication was great. Nice TV. We found the sofa to be very uncomfortable, but maybe that's just us. I don't sit a lot on vacation, but it's nice to unwind at the end of the day. We appreciated the extra touches for our pups. Would definitely love to stay here again! Thank you.

My family and I had a great experience. Our party included my husband, 10 and 6 year olds, and our infant. The house was very clean, in a safe/convenient location. Staff was beyond helpful and responsive. I left my wallet behind— the staff found it and overnighted it to me. Great experience. We will definitely return!!

Our first family vacation since 2019 and first time in the area.  Location was perfect and within walking distance to the beach.  The property was well maintained with updated fixtures and amenities.  The house was warm and cozy, with a nautical theme throughout.  The open layout was a plus.  Two recommendations would be to provide two sets of towels for lengthy stay guests and updating of the pullout sofa (thin mattress with sheets that fit the sofa bed). The exterior was appealing, with fresh paint and a well-maintained lawn. Overall, it was a pleasurable stay.  Would visit again.

We had a great time in Galveston the house was clean and the a/c worked great and the underneath hangout of the house was a great touch. Everything seemed to work great for us no problems 😊

We loved our stay in this beach house and found it to be very comfy and close to everything! The only negative was that we did find it to be a bit dirty (lots of long dark hair stuck to the shower walls, long dark hairs on one of the pillows in the bed, floors were so dirty we kept a rag by the bed to wipe our feet before getting in). We still give it 5 stars but hope they step up their cleaning in the future!

House was immaculate, great job decorating, easy to contact and work with management. We will rent again. I encourage others to rent this house.

Our pup found haven in the fenced yard and pet friendly accommodations! Home was fully stocked with all the necessities for us to just unpack and enjoy!

We had a wonderful time staying here over the memorial day weekend. It was walking distance to the beach and great location. We had plenty of room for us and our two small dogs.

We were able to enjoy sleeping in as the home is located on a quiet street and the bedding/pillows are high quality and very comfortable. The owners even thought of putting blackout curtains in the bedrooms so they rooms can stay dark and cool. The cottage is in a great location to the beach (an easy 4 block walk), restaurants, fun things to do in town and UTMB Health. We are from Austin and had not been to Galveston since we were kids. We were pleasantly surprised by its charm. We look forward to returning and hope to stay in the Sealy Cottage in the future.

Everything as advertised! Beautiful house, great location! Loved the garage area as well. They even left us a cake as a gift! Would definitely stay here again if I came back to Galveston. Highly recommended!

This home had something for every person in our family. Our teens LOVED the garage hangout area and short distance to the beach. Our Nana ABSOLUTELY loved the front porch. Husband and I ENJOYED the kitchen and coffee bar.

I love this cozy little home. Fantastic location - you can walk down the street to the beach. Although a classic Galveston home, it was nicely updated and had all the amenities we needed. I'd love to come back and invite friends as the downstairs garage is set up like a fun ice house/ hangout space. It would be (literally!) a cool place to hang out during warmer weather as you can raise the door to get the sea breeze and hear the ocean but you're protected from the sun and somewhat insulated from the heat. Host was great and is really open to feedback on making a great place even better.

We enjoyed a fun weekend at this adorable, updated cottage! It is a very welcoming home with lots of natural light in a quiet neighborhood. The beds are super comfortable, the shower head has great water pressure and the kitchen had what we needed to cook at home. It's an easy to walk to the beach. And, it has a perfect hang-out space downstairs! I really liked the little touches around the house that shows the owners care about their guests. Definitely would stay here again!
