Podere Casa Muricce is the place for people who love nature, animals, woods. Situated on the top of a hill high 400mt, carefully restructured according to tradition, Casa Muricce is the typical ancient Tuscany house in stone: all the furnishings, even doors, are original from Tuscany houses of `700/'800. The surrounding land of 13 acres all around comprises: olive trees, secular oaks and a young vineyard. There is another building, but it’s not restructured yet, so you are the only host. Swimming pool is reserved for you.
There are also a fruit garden, orchard and a garden of aromatic plants: all the products and fruits of these are available also for guests. We also have bees and we produce our honey.
There is a al fresco table, very panoramic, up to the swimming pool where you can eat and play.
Our philosophy is: enjoy the nature, its energy, its colours and its scents. The panoramic position allows to even appreciate the light of the wonderful sunset drinking a glass of wine on the edge of the swimming pool or eat a wonderful “fiorentina” steak cocked in the barbecue. It often happens that in the silent of the evening you can see fallow dear or other animals. The hosts are not customers, but friends who share our passions.
The village of Mercatale Valdarno is just 900 meters far; there you can found market, pharmacy, baker, bar, etc. On the hill in front to Casa Muricce, just 2 km road, you have the panoramic medieval tower of the castle of Galatrona, where is possible to rise on top. Within 30/40 kms there are Florence, Arezzo and Siena (the first two comfortably reachable also by train from the station of Montevarchi that is distant less than 10 minutes). Cortona, Montalcino, Pienza, Montepulciano,and the Val D' Orcia are distant approximately one hour by car.
