Lovely property and we had a great stay. Really good location and Abergavenny was great. Two points to highlight, there are are only 3 bathrooms, not 4 as advertised. The other unusual point was we were asked to strip all bedding on our departure, again not a deal breaker, but we have never been asked to do this before.

Lovely property, comfortably slept 8. Well maintained and equipped

This is a fantastic house and it worked really well for our family group. The location is great. We didn’t have a chance to use the hot tub this time unfortunately but the garden is huge and my toddler loved the castle!

We loved our stay here. The host was responsive and check-in was easy. The old fashioned key was charming and a tad bit troublesome, but we got it eventually. The beds were comfortable, the furniture clean, and kitchen well appointed. There is no air conditioning and it was pretty hot inside when we first arrived, which was one of the hottest days of the year. It cooled down by morning and the provided fans helped the air flow to stay cool through the trip. The town is lovely with plenty of restaurants and stores for anything you need. Everyone we met was exceptionally kind and we would absolutely stay here again. There are three things to be aware of: 1. Parking is available, but it is tight for larger vehicles. We had a large van and it fit fine, but we had to back in quite a ways to maneuver around the other vehicles on the driveway. 2. The stairs inside are fairly steep for older guests. Thankfully the banisters are supportive and there is room to use your cane. 3. The back patio has a number of different levels of same-colored blocks. There is no issue with stability, but this is right outside the back door, so if your party has older guests or toddlers, you might want to help them with this section.
