The view and layout of the cabin could easily make this a 5-star cabin. However, there are several items that need to be addressed. Among them are:- Downstairs AC would not keep up - it would stay around 73 when set to 68. The host said he would send someone out to address it, but we’re not sure if anyone ever came. The AC never got better.- Water pressure was very low when multiple showers were being used.- Our toilet seat kept coming off.- There is not enough lighting in the kitchen and the outside decks.- There is not enough silverware for a large group.- Parts of the decks are in disrepair and need to be stained.All that said, the view from the decks is one of the best in the Smokies. The sleeping accommodations were great for 12 adults and 7 kids. And there were plenty of places for us to spread out and do our own thing. It did not have one single room for all of us to gather in, but otherwise the layout of the cabin was nice.

Everything was clean, small issue with getting the fireplace started but they eventually got it started. Great communications with the owner. The only thing to know is that everything is VERY well worn, tears in the couches, chipped balls on the pool table, etc... But it was very spacious with breathtaking views.

Layout, size and views from this property are amazing. Property could be better maintained. Had broken and missing items. 3rd floor sleeper sofa is not functional so this house only sleeps 18/19. We had to buy an air mattress. For planning purposes, here are the locations of the bedrooms and sleeping options- Main floor has 1 king bed and living room with a sleeper sofa; Bottom floor has 1king bed, room with 2 sets of bunk beds (2 full, 2 twin)& plus a single twin bed; 3rd level has 2 king beds and the sleeper sofa on this level is not functional as a bed; the loft has 3 twin beds. The amount of space in this home worked great for a party of 20 but you can definitely tell that it is heavily used and many maintenance issues are overlooked. Warning - the drive up to this secluded property is very, very steep with sharp turns. We had one vehicle that could not make the drive up to the house and had to leave it at the halfway point of the drive.
