Great stay in a clean home with the needed amenities. Directions, house rules and communication were great.

Our overall experience was good as this was our 2nd time staying at Mary’s Cottage! We would have given a 5 star rating if not for a couple items that can and should be fixed. We recommend getting a better mattress in the room with the double bed. It sunk in the middle even though there is a mattress topper on it. Our backs hurt a lot each time we slept in it and it was a bit lumpy. It snowed just before we arrived and the pipe froze our first night with no water the next day. The pipes eventually thawed as the day warmed up, however, it would have been nice to know this happens on occasion before we checked in so that we plan appropriately. Also, we recommend leaving a shovel for guest in case of snow. Other than those items our stay was great!

This property is easy to find, easy on the eyes and a “touchdown” in football terms. Definitely our go to when we are away from home.

When we arrived, we were astonished to see houses so close to the one we rented. Literally a house 30 feet behind ours up the hill, towering above. There were muddy footprints in the entry way when we walked in. The bedrooms were as described, though the remotes were inaccurate in the binder provided on the coffee table. Some other issues we had were that 90% of all dishes were filthy with food stuck/crusted on, the bathroom when you flushed the toilet water came up from between the floorboards, the mat in the shower had massive mold on the underside, 75% of the deck lighting was burnt out, the tables in the dining room were reduced to 4 instead of 6 and were lower making it difficult to eat at the table, there was no shade/screen on the glass front door and several times saw the neighbors staring into our place from their kitchen/dining room, the pots and pans for cooking on the glass stove top were rounded on the bottom therefore guaranteeing uneven cooking, food splattered in the microwave, half used bullion cube in the cupboard, brown cobwebs on the ceiling in the kitchen, plaque sitting on septic tank and don’t use harsh chemicals but supplied Clorox in kitchen, ice cube maker in the freezer was broken, small choking hazard toy found under a chair, and there was no way to clean mud off deck/mat outside and we tracked way more into the house than we wanted to. The location was gorgeous if you just looked up or out the front. Neighbors all over were having parties with loud music and screaming kids; no fault of the rental owner’s except to say how close dozens of houses actually are to rental. We really wanted to love this place as so many have had, but it seems like the care of this place has diminished.

Property was super clean and the communication with hosts and check in process was super easy. Would definitely stay again.

We had a great time. During winter or rainy it would be good for you to have gravel or pavers in order for the house not to get muddy. It gets very messy. Other than that the place was very nice. Kitchen and bathroom were well equipped.

Had a fun and relaxing time at this property. Got to see our first ever Elk which was exciting. Lots of hiking nearby, Pine has a weekend arts & craft show with lots of food. Hope to go back next year.
