We had a great stay in the cozy blue trailer. The Venture Out resort is nice. I appreciated the security. Brand new refrigerator and queen mattress. Other appliances were older except the small washer & dryer. It was clean and the property manager was great! 4 window air conditioners keeps it nice & cool. One bedroom had a queen and the other has a trundle bed. There is a futon bed in the living room area. Kind of a retro feel.

We loved the place so clean ….. close to key west and other attractions …… I wish I could have stayed longer can’t wait to come back …. Pool was the best people so friendly and very safe …. A+++++

Exactly as advertised. Met all our needs with 2 bdrms, stocked kitchen. Clean, comfortable. Good wifi and nice TV.
Complex contains freshwater pool, natural swimming access, hot tub, which is convenient. About 40 minute drive to downtown Key West. Good restaurants closer by.

The property was very clean inside except for the AC filters which we cleaned ourselves. The outside areas could use attention and a good cleaning to be useable for sitting and the grill was not working. Michael refunded us our money for the propane tank we filled for the grill, and was helpful getting us online. Overall, the park was nice but the overflow lot was filled by the time our friends arrived the second week and we had to go way off base to find them parking. From what we've seen however, this host charges a fair price. As I said, the inside was very clean and the kitchen and living room are very roomy. It's a decent place for two couples or a family of four.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Location was good for us as it was between Key West and activities further up the keys. Venture Out resort was nice and convenient. Kids liked the pool after a day out exploring. It was really quiet on the resort. Mainly a retirement community. Low speed limits, lots of golf carts and bikes. One morning we took advantage of their pancake breakfast which was nice. All the courts looked nice but we didn’t get a chance to use. We probably could have spent a few days and never left the resort and still had a good time.
Overall the rental fit our needs. There were a few minor cosmetic things here and there (light fixture covers missing in bathroom and master bedroom) but pretty small. I would also prefer a door on the master that shuts/locks but it is just a sliding door. Not a huge deal but with multiple kids, some privacy is nice. The new mattress in the bedroom was good. Could maybe upgrade the pillows next. For us, the big deal is price point. This rental was a decent value and good location. We really spend little time actually at our rentals so we look for that value and location over luxury and this was right in line. Gave our family still enough room to stretch out, be comfortable and get a good rest for the next days adventures. Laundry was great to have in the unit as we try to pack light. We’d be back.

It was a great place to stay till a baldheaded secure guard knock on the door when we were loading our car because it was about 3inches to far in the road. Never mind all the other cars parked in the road. This guy was just looking for something to complain about. They are too many nice places to stay in the keys to put up with harassment.

Venture Out offers Saturday breakfast and dinners for a small fee. We enjoyed playing Pickelball in the mornings, enjoyed the lawn chairs by the ocean, heated swim pool and jacuzzi. It’s a long walk for dogs to hold it to the entrance and there’s no heat in this unit. Surprisingly it got to 52 in the home. Everything else was great about renting here. They have plenty of kitchenware, blankets and towels. We befriended the neighbors and we’re able to ride their extra bikes and kayak.

A week in Cudjo Key
We arrived with beautiful weather ready to unpack and venture out. Security was very kind. They did not have our name listed for rental so they had us pull over and touch base with owner, within seconds of response from mike, security was flagging us down letting us know we were in.
There were 2 adults and 2 children and enough space for us. The place is super cute, beachy and has most every basic item you could need.
There were also tons of new linens. Towels were rolled and seemed new. My husband says a big thank you to whomever left half case of corona!!
Our girls were happy w: kids room. The smaller room. Maybe a tv in there would make it better. But who needs tv down here. Air conditioner does not blow cold air so we kept sliding room door open to main house to cool room. Not a big deal it wasn’t super hot. Also, sliding doors to outside is not secure. You can lock it but you can just pull it open. May need to include a door jam but please have it checked. We ended up having the kids sleep in living room for that reason. Easy fix. But they loved having their own space.
Bigger room has closet and drawers, not a lot of space but enough to get around but prob not as a bigger person. Full bed in room definitely needs replaced. Creeks when you breath and you can feel every spring. My husband ended up on futon bed w kids and I in the trundle.
Floors definitely need mopped. Our feet turned black from dirty floors. Drip under sink. Seemed like a new issue but let owner know so he could remedy it. Everything else seemed clean, in order and we were right at home..
FYI, We met family friends here, first night went in hot tub and all our bathing suits were bleached from the water. Within 10 min everyone’s eyes were burning. We were so tired we didn’t think anything about it until we saw our bathing suits and trunks the next day. We didn’t notice it with the pool until our last night. Same thing, so I think the community staff may dump cleaning chemicals in at night while pool/hot tub is still open. Wish they would wait until it closed. Also absolutely no floating anything can be used in the pool. Nothing. There is a smokers section. Other than that we loved the pool. The water was warm, the ocean is right next to it. There is not a beach but there is an area next to pool roped off where you can swim in the ocean. Relaxing.
We loved the place. It’s pretty much central to everything.

Even this is not our first rodeo but we just fell in love with this place. It was so clean, quite, staff and property people was so friendly and helpful.

I liked the big kitchen and table area had lots of room for our quick breakfasts before heading out. We didn't cook here. My daughter loved the pool too. Lots of families.
The only thing that was inconvenient, but had nothing to do the property per say, was that the Venture Out park really isn't pet friendly. You have to walk your dog out on the main road, not in the park itself and the common areas and the tiki picnic table areas specifically have no pet signs. Also, only having one spot in the driveway was hard because we had to pay extra for our other car and additionally for our boat/trailer and unload the boat each day. Again, those inconveniences aren't about the property, just about the neighborhood. So, be aware if you are bringing your dog or boat.
The check in staff was friendly and the managers were attentive.
Great places to eat: Morita's Cuban and Kiki's Sandbar (dog friendly) were our favorites!
