Perfect for a couple on a short getaway

Great location, short drive to local seafood and shops! Room was clean and communicating with property owner was easy. Easy keyless check in and out. Great pool with amazing views of the river. Would stay again and recommend.

Room 116 was on the top floor with good breezes and great view! The room's furnishings were just like the pictures and beds were comfortable, however no extra coverings or sheets. We would suggest to the owner to supply extra washcloths, sheets, light blanket and a broom and dustpan. We loved the quiet area and watching all the huge pelicans fly directly over our balcony! The outside facilities are very nice and we even had live music one night! I would reccomend staying here!

The room was great. Very clean, modern, wonderful views and location. Not too far from downtown Southport so easy to walk to restaurants, coffee, ice cream and shopping. The location is very peaceful and quiet…you don’t hear everyone coming and going from their rooms which was great! One and only complaint is the Wi-Fi. The hotel owns the Wi-Fi and it’s not a secure connection meaning you don’t need a password to join it. If you have concerns about that you may want to bring a hotspot. Other than that, the location amenities etc were perfect!

I didnt get the corner room kingbed suite I purchased on expedia as in the picture and descriptions. I got a parking lot room. Not what the picture showed on the other side of the building. Bad advertising and misleading. But of course like River Hotel but the Better Beach Rentals decieved me

Great place. We had no Wi-Fi and the issue was not resolved. Other than that it’s a good location. Walk to restaurants is bliss.

The room was very clean , Had all the amenities and the views were breathtaking. We fell in love with Southport all over again.

This is a new property with units still under construction. The location and amenities were great for the price. The building numbers were a little hidden but it didn't take us long to find our room. We'd planned to walk to town for dinner but it was a bit further than I'd judged from the map (I have no sense of distance) and driving turned out to be the better option. An unexpected bonus was watching the massive cargo ships pass by not far from shore . So amazing!

Great vacation spot!
My family and I had a wonderful stay! It was clean and having the pool and balcony were added pluses! The drive into town was less than 5 minutes. We wish it would have been a little closer in order to walk to dinner, but still overall a beautiful location! We definitely plan to stay again!!

We are walkers so walking the half mile into town twice a day was no big deal. It is VERY dark at night however and only partial sidewalk. Nonetheless, the walking helped build an appetite for some pretty yummy meals at several restaurants in town. And helped with digestion on the way back.😉
View was nice and we spent a good amount of time on the patio when weather permitted.
Beds comfortable although I recommend bringing your own pillows if it's an option.
