We come every year! We absolutely love it! We love the splash pad for the kids! Amazing and friendly host!

The condo being on the first floor was amazing because the parking is directly in front of it. Easy load/unload. The family upstairs was super noisy with young children up as late as 2 am. We understood they were on vacation and dealt with it. The unit has a washer and dryer which made it so nice to keep up with pool towels. The property is amazing and has multiple pools and a huge deck overseeing the beach with umbrellas, lounge chairs, tables and seating. The staff all around the property was very professional. We rented a canopy and lounge chairs for the day it was all set up for us - just perfect! A super plus bcs we got to bring our small shitzu along with us and she was comfortable all through our stay. The unit is beautifully kept and had all the basic necessities. We ate out most of the time so didn’t really use the kitchen for other than coffee and the fridge for keeping snacks and beverages. Our host provided all the necessary information which made it all so smooth. A great place with resort perks! Loved it and will be back!

Nice place, need some updates to the cookware, overall was a nice place

This was our first visit to S Padre. The unit was very clean and the resort was nice. We appreciated the two big pools for a refreshing place to stay cool during the heat of the day. The host was very responsive to my questions. I asked if beach chairs or umbrellas are in the unit and although they do not provide those, the host must have called the office because when we arrived there were two chairs on the porch. I appreciated that!Unfortunately I have two complaints. The unit has a mold problem. We couldn't use one of the bedrooms due to the overwhelming smell of mildew. We had to buy allergy medicine it was so bad. We bought some Clorox cleaner and sprayed the areas that looked like black mold. It helped but not entirely. My other complaint is the full time residents on the third floor. They have an aggressive shepherd that we encountered many times outside. He's on a leash with a young boy (10-12 years old) trying to manage him. The dog barks, lunges and has his fur raised on his back. I have no doubt he would bite if given the opportunity. We were traveling with a service dog. Our dog is highly trained for a health related task and it's imperative that we protect the dog from a potential dog attack. We firmly told the boy to keep his dog away from us. The parent's responded by leaving a nasty note on our door. Be aware if you are taking any dog to this unit as there will be a potential issue with that resident.
