This worked well for our family of 9. (Husband and wife with a daughter and her husband and baby, an adult daughter with a friend, and two older sons). The main living space was not huge, but provided ample room with downstairs game room adding nicely for space to hang out. The downstairs bedroom definitely feels like a basement. It worked for our sons in a bachelor pad kind of way, but I wouldn’t have been thrilled to stay there. It had its own refrigerator, sink and kitchen. When we arrived, the maintenance man was busy repairing and replacing furniture that had been damaged by previous renters. He was very friendly and emphasized his availability if we had any problems. The beds were comfortable, water pressure was good, water heater accommodated us, and the AC worked well. We loved how close we were to the beach and did not have any problems crossing the road to get there (There’s a large median for crossing two lanes and then two more). The easy access to garage storage for all the sandy beach stuff was also great! There were two large tubes, about 6 chairs, a lot of sand toys, and a couple of styrofoam coolers. There were ample bath towels, but we were glad were brought extra beach towels. The pool is nice-great for cooling off while socializing, but there’s not a lot of room for older kids to play in it. If you want a clean space that meets basic needs you will be pleased. If we return to Daytona, we’d gladly stay here again.

We liked the place as it was conveniently located across the street from the beach. The communication with salty dog, the group that runs the place, was very good! I was responded to right away with any question or request I had. We loved the use of the beach chairs. We wish the pool would’ve been a little cleaner and there wasn’t a whole lot of silverware. The main TV in the living room was glitchy and we were unable to watch the NCAA March madness games, which was a little disappointing. The grill was a little small, but when it ran out of gas or was close to it, they came out and replaced the tank right away. The basement sink was clogged when we arrived and they responded right away by fixing it. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and liked the place.

Super nice & fun

Our family stayed with another family for the weekend since our kids had a volleyball tournament at the Ocean Center. While we could have just stayed at a hotel we rented this house because of the game room and what we thought was a hot tub. We weren’t thrilled with the crazy high booking fee but thought it would be worth it. Well the arcade game didn’t work, there were no darts for the dart game and we were told after check in the hot tub was not a hot tub it was a soaking tub, insert eye roll. Don’t list pictures of things that don’t actually work. The house is fine but don’t book if you are looking to have those extra perks.
