I wish I could say it was a good stay, but it wasn’t a stay at all. I booked the home because we had a family wedding in town. This was going to be the home base for many of the items we needed for the wedding. The check in was fine. Matthew even allowed us to check in a little early. Form there it went down hill. We had the place for 2 night. There are 2 entrances the front door and a side door to the basement. The pictures definitely make the place look better than it really is. We walked into the bottom part of the house. As soon and you walk in there is a mildew smell. My sister immediately started having an asthma attack from the mildew in the air. We thought that we would be able to open the windows to air out the place, but there are no screens (mosquitos). We messaged the manager who let us know that they would bring in an air purifier the next day. Wed don't have a day to wait. We ended up getting 5 hotel rooms instead. Since we were only there for 2 nights we didn't have time to wait around for them to fix this and we couldn't sleep there for a night for sure. VRBO wanted pictures. How do you take pictures of mildew in the air? We didn't even bring our things into the rooms. didn't use a bathroom. I asked to work on a refund and that is where the communication stopped. NO response. Management doesn't care about y our experience just wants your money. No offer to refund the cleaning fee. They didn't have to clean the place after us. DO NOT STAY

The property is located in an older area of Pittsburgh with many homes being refurbished at this time. This home is a work in progress, but very livable and comfortable. The area is quiet and there is plenty of parking. Very nice furnishings and amenities. Beds were comfortable and clean. Rooms are large and bathrooms accessible and well-appointed. Good air conditioning and access to both units. We were a family of 7 and there were plenty of beds and bathrooms. I only gave 4 stars for the neighborhood because it is not walkable to restaurants and bars (but I knew this from their description). Check-in/out was so easy. Owner quickly responds to messages. I would definitely rent here again.

We had a great time bringing my 90 year old mother back to her birthplace, Pittsburgh. The house has obviously been a labor of love. Great location to go to all kinds of cool places.

Property was in an undesirable part of the city, not as described. Some pillows did not have pillow cases, hair was found on a couple beds before being used which indicated the sheets had not been cleaned. However, worst of all, the lower level had an infestation of termites on our first night there and they covered the floor, sheets, and personal property of our guests. There were also a couple on the upper level. We left that morning and we’re unable to finish our stay there.
