Overall property was nice and spacious. It had some issue's, none of the bathrooms were cleaned properly, 1 bathroom had hair in the tub, a shower curtain had mildew on it, there was dirty dishes in with the clean ones, dishwasher did not "Clean" properly, the upstairs fridge took 3 days to actually get cold. It would really be nicer if it had some major upgrades, the wifi wasn't connecting properly and for a 8 bedroom home, that sleeps over 20 people the wifi should be better. One thing that made my family a little bit uncomfortable was the fact that the homeowners had family pictures throughout the entire house. We thought it was strange to have your families photos for strangers to see. Furniture was very uncomfortable, couches and beds.

The property images are accurate. All rooms are large, clean and comfortable. We were a large group and having multiple living spaces was a huge plus. The house is super close to the public beach access and local restaurants.

We booked this trip as a replacement vacation during these crazy times. We ranged from a 9 month old to my 96 year old grandfather. I was worried because the house was still available at such a late date. We were pleasantly surprised at the condition and location of the house. We were 3 houses from the beach access. The house was close enough to walk back and forth for all our children. They would walk back for lunch or a quick swim in the pool. The house was also close to the town so they would walk or ride their bikes in each day. The property was everything we were looking for and one that I would use for my next trip to Duck... and I hope that will be soon.

Usually rental houses at least have cooking spray. Just be prepared for that and you will be good!

One girl had to sleep in hall all 7nights.Nice location, but to many "open" repairs needed. Paramount Destinations needs along with owners and get thing better.Only one cutting board and dull knives.

We had to purchase some basic cooking utensils to cook in the kitchen. Not sure if previous renters have taken or broken things from the kitchen, but some additional serving dishes & platters would be helpful. Our overall opinion of the house is very positive, best house we have rented in the 15+ years we have vacationed in Duck. We plan to reserve the house for next year.

We were extremely close to the beach and club house, which was a great plus. The property is a lot more spacious than it looks on the website. Every bedroom and living room was spacious enough for our group to not feel too crowded. It was a great vacation and we'd love to come back to this house. We had a problem or two with the pool and one bathroom, but maintenance was quick to assist & resolve the problem within the day. It was a great vacation!

The house was well appointed, the kids loved the pool and volleyball court. The location was perfect, steps from the beach and a short jaunt to the center of town.

Furnishing in main room lacking chairs and bar stools at proper height for counter. Pool liner needs work. Grill is very poor and too small for a house that holds so many people. Check in time can be as late as 6 pm and we were told we could not even go to put cold food away by the management after we were on the road traveling for 7 hours( not a good start to our stay). It is also just a short walk to Duck with its many shops and restaurants. The interior of this house is nice and spacious and in good shape. On the other hand, the exterior and pool area need some attention. Some paint, new pool furniture and a larger grill would go a long way in improving this property We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay again with improvements.

The weather was beautiful, not too hot and not too cool. The water was a chilly 74 throughout most of the week while the air temperature hovered at around 85. The rip current was strong towards the latter part of the week, but having vacationed along the outer banks for more than twelve years our family is accustomed to the unpredictability of the ocean. Our family enjoyed our days on the beach, in the pool at the home and in the hot tub. We also enjoyed the sand volleyball court on the property and the space for our younger family members to run around and play football. The home itself has a wonderful floor plan for our large family and the bedrooms have more than adequate room and bed arrangements for the varying ages of our family members. We did find the home to be lacking in pots and pans in the kitchen as well as dull knives and lack of some items necessary for feeding our large group. It is difficult for our family to eat out at restaurants and not be separated into smaller tables, so we eat at the beach house the entire week. All in all the trip was wonderful, flew by as all vacations on the outer banks do, but we look forward to renting Jewel of the Isle again. In the meantime, the staff at Paramount was giving us very scripted, generic information about our accomodations and when we could check in. When we finally arrived, we found the home to be extremely dirty. Not hurricane damage, but a home that was just basically dirty. Cabinets, drawers, bathrooms, bedrooms were disgustingly dirty. I spent two days trying to get the home clean enough for our guests. On Thursday, a representative visited from Paramount, we told him of our complaints, but nothing was done. I would not use Paramount for this reason.
