Well stocked kitchen and beach supplies. Location is great. Size and layout was excellent

I never would have booked this place if the description would have been accurate or if I had been able to ask the property manager some questions before booking. I initially sent a question saying I was trying to find a place for our extended family that included my 87 year old parents with mobility issues. I wanted to know about access and stairs. I received a form reply that said nothing. I tried to call but after waiting on hold for an hour I gave up. I had had several properties rented out from under me (I later learned this was comic con weekend) so I booked it. That was my mistake. I eventually was told there were “about 12 steps to access the main level.” I assumed that was for between the two levels of the condo. In reality there are at least 17 steps to get to the front door of the condo and the condo is on the second and third floors. The kitchen and main living area are on the third floor. Once we got my parents up to the third floor they only left once because it was an ordeal. They were basically trapped in the condo. The listing should have accurately described the access situation for the condo and that it is not a good option for anyone with mobility issues. If Vacasa would have responded to my questions or answered their phone I would have known this and found someplace else. I had never been to Mission Beach and I did not expect the neighborhood to be so busy and loud. There is a lot of traffic and parking is very difficult. The unit has a garage fortunately. It is however narrow and accessed by the alley. The alley is very narrow and often blocked. The ocean and the bay are very close by which is a real plus but do not expect a serene experience. It seems like a fun area but not the best choice for our group that included older people. I was able to visit the property in early July and saw how crowded the neighborhood was and how unsuitable this condo would be for my parents (and this is before I knew how many stairs there were to access the main living area). I immediately contacted Vacasa to see if they would consider letting us move to a different property that they manage that may suit us better. I fully understood the cancelation policy dictated I would lose half of the condo cost if I canceled, but I was hoping they would be compassionate and work with us and apply our payment to a different property. They were not compassionate. This is a very expensive condo. I could not walk away from that much money.

The location is great, you are about 2 minutes from the beach, and 2 minutes from the bay. The house was plenty big enough for my family of 7 adults and 1 child. The reason I'm giving it a 4 instead of a 5 is, #1 the air-conditioning can't be set cooler than 72, and it was pretty warm. #2 the dishes were so dirty, I had to wash them by hand, #3 there were only 2 rolls of toilet paper for 4 bathrooms. But. Even so it's a very nice place, and I will definitely stay there again.

Overall, the rental was large and well furnished and our stay was pleasant and comfortable.

The location of this property is perfect for easy walking access to both the bay and ocean. However, this also means finding parking is incredibly hard. Our family rented an 8 person SUV which wouldn’t fit with the other rental car in the provided garage parking. Lots of time was wasted finding parking. Other than that, we loved this house. The rooms are quiet, plenty of bathroom space, and the kitchen was stocked with all necessities for easy meals.

Close to both the beach and the bay, restaurants and bars. Place is in great condition. We have stayed here before, and we came back

This house was perfect for our stay! 10 adults with plenty of room to relax and have an amazing time. 50 steps to the beach. Having delicious restaurants near by was a bonus too!

Great location! Best of Both worlds, bay & beach just steps away. Lots of food, and shopping within walking distance. Provided beach supplies were appreciated. Full kitchen made for easy home cooking. Amenities perfect for us.

The property was great, we had a small problem with the water heater that management took care of for us. It was a wonderful experience all around. It fit with what we needed. It was within walking distance to lots of places to eat and a grocery store. VERY close to the water. Loved it! We would definitely stay again.
