La Dama del Porto

We loved our stay at La Dama del Porto! Positioned right on the water with sweeping views of lake Maggiore and close to town, its position is hard to beat! Matteo, Martina and Isabella were so wonderful and helpful, and nothing was ever a problem. The food at the restaurant was excellent too!

We had a portable air conditioner in our room but it was still quite warm in the heat wave as you have to leave the window open to filter the hot air out while it’s on. It was still manageable though

Great host and wonderful view and restaurant was very very good and reasonable ! Matteo was a terrific host. Am happy to help with travel plans etc.

I liked how close the hotel is to the lake, and the ease of parking, at least during my stay in April 2026. The normally-paid parking spots were free during this time. The hotel is a short drive from many points of interest and the staff is friendly and helpful, speaking an almost perfect english and showing competence and skill.

The room with "lake view from the balcony" doesn't face the lake at all :/ the lake is visible indeed from the balcony, but at a 90 degrees angle. The room was TINY. The bathroom one of the smallest I've seen. Not many amenities inside the room and overall not quite comfortable. The breakfast is quite limited and truly something I would not write home about. I initially planned to spend 2 nights at this facility, but the overall comfort of the room made me shorten my stay in search of a better accommodation.
