The Rumi Hotel & Residences

Location and cleanliness. Would take care of reasonable needs. But very slow..

Extremely slow service. Breakfast items shortages. Including cups and bowls etc.

Breakfast was very nice. Complimentary tea/coffee and sweet treats all day were really delicious. Complementary airport shuttle was reliable and very convenient. Great swimming pool. Large selection of TV programs was great. Friendly and helpful staff. Tastefully decorated good sized comfortable rooms.

There was really nothing to complain about.

This is a good hotel in an excellent location: within walking distance of the city centre museums, a shopping mall and parks. It's easy to get a taxi from directly outside the hotel. There are lots of different restaurants in the area and a food court at the Dushanbe Mall nearby.

The suite was roomy and the furniture was in good condition

(1) On arrival there was no electricity in that suite and I was told that it occurred in one other room but they could not do anything about it at that time. This problem occurred intermittently from 11PM until until 3AM over the next five days; (2) My suite was not cleaned well and on the next to last day there was no cleaning service; (3) I asked for a driver to the airport one day ahead of time and they lost my request. I had to wait 20 minutes for the driver after they phoned him; (4)the food was of limited choices; (5) one of the laundry people accidentally inked my shirt collar after it being washed; and (6) the wait staff including the front desk had limited English speaking/comprehension abilities.
