Lovely little villa with easy access to a beautiful shoreline. We were a party of 6 and booked bawan villa for a total of 4 nights, so got the entire villa to ourselves. Each room had its own bathroom. The house was very clean and well equipped. The owners were kind and helpful and went out of their way to help in any way they could. Would love to stay here again if we returned to hikkaduwa.

My only complaint is that the AC wasn't cooling in one of the rooms and unfortunately was not repaired during the stay.

I can highly recommend this property for anyone looking for accommodation right next to the beach and full of fun activities! The staff are super friendly, and a special thanks to Sithum, who manages the property. He organized amazing activities for us like surfing sessions, a Madu River boat safari, and even a turtle release unforgettable experiences! It’s also a great budget-friendly place that really feels like home. There are no restrictions for alcohol or smoking — you can bring your own and relax freely. They even teach you how to cook local food, which was a wonderful experience. Thank you to the whole team for making our stay so enjoyable. Lots of love from Germany!

This is a simple guesthouse at a basic price. We had a double room, no view, with a decent sized bathroom with powerful cold shower. The air-conditioning was very effective and the food we ordered was good. It's across the road from an unspoilt beach and very near the tsunami memorial and museums, convenient for a quick stay if passing through. Bawan was not present but his father Donald was helpful and friendly.

Most of the facilities listed in the room description are shared. The terrace, dining area, views, fridge and kitchen are all in communal areas, although no one else was staying there during our visit. Food was brought in to us but there was no functioning restaurant on site. Donald went home at the end of the day leaving us alone in the building. We had to lock the front door which was ok for us but could be disconcerting for solo travellers.
