Volcanoes Over View Safaris & Camp

We spent four wonderful nights in a tent, and from the moment we arrived, we truly felt at home. The tent is very spacious and comfortable, with a private bathroom and shower. The location is incredibly peaceful, with spectacular views of Mount Karisimbi, Mount Bisoke, and Mount Mikeno. What really made our stay special, though, was the staff. Oliver, Michael, and our chef, Michelle, were absolutely incredible. They were so kind, attentive, and genuinely caring throughout our entire stay. We always felt that they truly cared about us and wanted to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment. Their warm hospitality made us feel more like guests in a home than customers at a lodge. The food was delicious, and we particularly enjoyed relaxing around the campfire in the evenings, taking in the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. We would definitely recommend this place and would happily stay here again. It is absolutely worth it.

The only downside is the rough road leading to the safari camp, but once you arrive

We had booked a room that turned out to be much smaller than expected, especially since we had quite a lot of luggage. On reflection, we should have booked one of the tents, which seemed to be much more spacious. The dining area was very pleasant and we had good evening meals there at very reasonable prices. In the evening the friendly staff made a fire, which was a nice touch and very welcome, as it gets quite cold at night. The other issue we had was that we were self-driving in a fairly small 4WD without high clearance, and the access road is very rocky and rather challenging in such a car, although this would not be a problem with a high clearance vehicle. On the plus side, the accommodation is close enough to the National Park Centre and other facilities in Kinigi to be considered a convenient location with the right vehicle.

La struttura è molto carina vista la camera-tenda. La vista sui vulcani è bellissima. La cena è molto buona per soli 15 usd e il personale è davvero gentile. Fa molto freddo la notte ma ci sono diverse coperte.

La strada per arrivare è davvero dissestata e serve un 4x4 o un’auto alta. Il wifi non funzionava in camera. La zanzariera della tenda era un po’ rotta e non funzionava bene.
