Apartment owners were absolutely the best, older couple that are so kind and flexible, they did us so many favors that made us truly grateful! Lady kept the apartment so clean and tidy, she occasionally brought us pie or other breakfast they made for themselves, raki and beer, they were always happy to call us a taxi or drive us themselves to downtown, print our plane tickets or do any other favor we needed. We absolutely had our privacy whenever we wanted, they never minded anything, and the highlight of our vacation on Crete is definitely our accommodation. We loved spending time in this backyard every night chatting! Apart from that, apartments are on a very good location, literally 2 min from the beach, neighborhood is quiet, no music from beach bars, apartments are spacious, equipped with AC. Overall 11/10!

The owner is one of the sweetest and best example of Greek word we learned during our week stay: filoxenia, which roughly translates to hospitality. She is really helpful, takes care in what she does, can advice on what to do and where to eat. The location is great, a quick stroll from the sea, just few paces outside there is a Gyro place that seems to be open almost 24/7, there are more than 5 Cafe's around and two super markets, which offer all you will need without breaking a bank on touristy oil and food stores. A walk to the city center where all the good restaurant and amazing little alleys are is half hour with really slow Greek pace, we recommend to go on the sea shore road not the main one. Also don't fall for the touristy restaurants near the shore, look for family run small places there are a few, or go for really good ones, like Avli

Amenities could be newer, but we had all we needed, parking is tricky, be sure to call in advance, we arrived at night an couldn't find it, called and they needed us to park in their private parking spot(thank you ❤️) and showed us the parking in the morning (it's small but we had our spot everyday, without a problem)

The hosts were wonderful people, the lady left flowers for us everyday and cleaned the room leaveing new towels. We could stay longer the last day because our flight was very late

Erato Hotel is located ideally close to the beach (5-10 min walk), a supermarket (2-3 min walk), across a gyros pita that I recommend for a quick bite and - by car - very close to the main road that will take you towards Chania and/ or Heraklion. It doesn’t have a parking area but we would always find a spot to the previous road (that leads to a church). The room and it’s facilities are somehow old but definitely functional and clean. Every day we would have clean sheets and towels. WiFi reception is good - and the speed too. The TV has Netflix that you can login with your own account. The TV wasn’t connected to the WiFi network but I sorted that out. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Not only the gave us a lot of their own products to try (including a departure gift) but their advice for the sightseeing around Rethymno proved very valuable.

Close to the beach

We booked an apartment, but they gave us studio, on the ground floor, where all guests where passing around.No privacy at all! When I told that we booked something different they said that they don't have any room available.Last day when we went to pay they were sorry they realized that they made a mistake giving us the studio. At least they gave us the price for studio.(no any compensation for the mistake, if this was actually "a mistake")Be careful what you get. I know in the high season this must be the way how they get the property fully used as we were only 2persons to be accommodated in the apartment for 4. But I booked something so I expect to get it not to be tricked.

Nice and clean place with a very good location. Тhe best combination of price and quality. I strongly recommend it! The hosts are very kind and helpful.
