Pros: *Amazing gulf views *Equipped kitchen & nice bathroom *Walking distance to restaurants Cons: *AC doesn't keep up on hot days. *Broken/Missing slats on the vertical blinds (not much help blocking sun or keeping bright lights off the beach at night during turtle nesting season. *Furniture is old...the couch is literally 30 years old and the 'recliner' chairs have cracked/peeling leather. *Grassy areas around picnic tables are now covered in sand (possibly due to Ian or done on purpose to advertise as 'walking out on to the beach') *Guests are no longer permitted to use the washer/dryer, so no fresh towels for extended stays unless you take away beach time to go to a laundromat. *No pool (never has been a big deal until the price hit a 225% increase) *Former name of Chalet Laun is still at the end of the drive 2 years later. *One charcoal grill to be shared among 6 apartments. A couple gas grills would be nice. *Many properties offer an extended stay discount if staying 7 or more days. This has been our 'go to' Manasota Key destination for decades; however, the price of this property has skyrocketed since under new ownership with no apparent upgrades to the apartments. Lots of other options at this price point that offer more quality. Many of the best family memories have been made at this property, but it's time to move on...it's been outpriced for what it is...and that's the view only.

We loved the beach front location, fun casual restaurants nearby and the amazing opportunity to see several baby turtles make their way to the Gulf! We hope to return soon!

Beautiful place to stay clean

The view of the Gulf is amazing and the room was very clean and had everything we needed. The only thing that could be improved would be replacing the broken blinds on the sliding glass door. At night you can see straight into the room from outside due to the missing slats.

Gorgeous view and right on the beach!!!! This place could sleep up to 6 bc the couch is a pull out bed. However the rooms are pretty small so I say this place is perfect for 2 people but could accommodate 4. The place itself is pretty basic but has everything you need. It is an older building so just know if you stay during the high heat of summer that the AC will not be able to keep up but it cools off fine at night. We would definitely stay here again!

What a fantastic weekend! Can’t beat the view and convenience of beachfront! Hoping to make this more of an annual trip! Would definitely stay again!

Good time right on the beach

We wanted a place right on the beach and this place fit our plans. It had a fully equipped kitchen which was nice to have. It also had beach towel and chairs which was convenient. View from our 2nd story unit was beautiful. Even got to see some of the launch of the Falcon Heavy from Kennedy Space Center in the sky from our parking lot which was an added bonus. Andrew was quick to respond to any questions.

I found this property after my usual spot still wasn’t ready after the hurricane. I am so glad I chose it!! I got to enjoy all my usual spots and the view from the deck was phenomenal. It was clean and well taken care of. Will definitely book again!!

This beachfront cottage rental was great...loved it !!. The maintenance man was very nice, too...saw him on the grounds. One thing I would suggest however is to have a telephone number to call inside the cottage if there was a problem. I would highly recommend this rental...expensive, but so worth the price.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this cute beach rental for our 19th anniversary! We loved the location of the home and the fact that it is steps away from the beautiful beach! We spent a lot of time soaking in the sunshine, swimming in the clear water and looking for shark teeth to bring home to our kids! The unit is located on the second level with a balcony so we were able to watch the sunsets right from our rental as well as on the beach! The turtles were nesting while we visited and to our surprise we woke up one morning to a crowd in front of the rental looking at a large nest that was made the evening before! The turtle patrol said it was very rare, but a green sea turtle laid its eggs there the night before and it was the biggest nest they had ever seen! That was super exciting to see! We enjoyed meals within walking distance at The Waverly and Lock and Key (delicious ribs and steak)! Probably our favorite part of the vacation was just not having to drive anywhere to do things because we had so much fun on the beach! We loved that groceries and other items we needed were within a 5-10 minute drive! We stayed in Manasota Key two years ago and loved our time spent there-this was an awesome trip back! We would love to make it a regular visit!

Fully furnished, clean, comfortable

Photos not accurate for size of apt. Bedroom door does not close bed is in way. Blinds for sliding glass door missing many slats so does Not cover door. Carpet should not be in apts. like this on beach. Did not feel secure with sliding glass door. It did not close all the Way. Bedroom lamps broken. Loved the beach and views beautiful!

Had everything we needed. Great beach, lovely sunsets and ocean breeze. Loved being right on the water and having a nice relaxing duplex.

Clean, basic home. I went for a quick trip to the beach, and it was beautiful. I have rented many VRBO In cities and beach areas. There have always been plenty of extras and niceties. There are No extras ( eg. bring soap for the shower).

Fully furnished, clean, comfortable

We loved the location. There were beach chairs, towels, books, comfortable living room chairs. Great location on the beach. Super adorable beach house!!! We felt very comfortable. Also the view of the moon stars and beach on the 2nd level was amazing!!

The house was clean and as described. Right on the beach with everything in walking distance and wasn’t to crowded.

We loved the location! Great sunsets and right on the beach and close to lots of great places to eat! Very small bedrooms and shower. Decor was worn and kitchen is average as well. Porch was great for sunsets!

We had a great time at the chalet on Englewood Beach, Fl. The view of the gulf and the full moon was exquisite. We walked out the door and collected sharks' teeth every morning. The porch was a great spot to sit and watch the water and relax. We would like to return.

Had a absolutely wonderful time. Rental was exactly what we were looking for, steps to the ocean, perfect view, close to the entertainment.

We enjoyed our time at Manasota Key. A great beachfront spot! There are several restaurants right across the road that you can walk too. The condo was clean and a great location.

Our honeymoon at the apartment was great. Everything was perfect and Liz was exceptionally nice and helpfull. Liz gave us some sunscreen let us use some shelling tools. The apt. was clean and the view was to die for. Liz and Andrew you are the best and we hope to see you again next year.
