We were a bit shocked upon arrival at the state of unclean. If the outdated and unclean rooms and carpets were not enough it looks like laundry does not get done. Towels, pillows, and duvets are stained, dirty, there were visable unnamed smears on the duvet. There is junk everywhere and you can guarantee things are not moved and cleaned underneath (that wood block in the kitchen? Disgusting). It was hard to sleep. The sheets feel like sandpaper and we had to clean blankets before we felt comfortable using them. Very gross, outdated and junky. The views are great and the hottub is a nice touch. Those are the only remdeeming qualities. The pictures do not tell the whole story. I would skip this place and would never recommend to anyone.

We spent the weekend with family playing board games, watching movies, and enjoying the hot tub. Since this was a winter visit, we did not use the lake, but it would be a fantastic spot in the summer for swimming or launching a kayak. We will definitely be back!

There is a lot to like about this house. Beautiful views on a quiet bay of Woahink lake. Comfortable furniture and beds. Very quiet - we never heard any neighbors. There are other houses close by, but the yard (and hot tub) are sheltered by trees and shrubs so it feels very private. The hot tub was wonderful! Worked well and very clean. The whole house was very clean. Our only complaint was the heat. It was turned down to 50 when we arrived at about 6:30pm. We turned it up immediately, but it took about 10 hours to bring the temp up to a comfortable level. Once it warmed up it worked fine. If you rent in the winter, make sure to verify that the heat will be turned up when you arrive. The only other issue we noticed is that the windows and doors have no screens. Not a problem in the winter, but I wonder if it might be an issue for summer renters. All in all a very nice rental house! We would stay again.

We really enjoyed the location right on the lake. It is private and the lake is not a super busy one with motor boats. Everyone in our group had a lot of fun and we would definitely come back!

We enjoyed our stay at Grandpa’s Lakehouse. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed the lake views and soaking in the hot tub. It is close to Florence and the beach.

Location and view were amazing! House was picked up, fresh towels, soap, laundry detergent, garbage bags and dishwasher soap all fully stocked. The hot tub was warm yet filthy ( filters full of mildew need to be changed). One of the beds smelled of urine along with comforter for same bed. The whole house including furniture needs a deep clean and a refresh. Beautiful location and views of the lake were the best part of the home.

We love this spot. This was our 4th stay. The kids are growing up in this location + love it too. Still, it is camping: house seriously needs deep cleaning. Also, hot tub + dishwasher were broken for our stay. Disappointing. Thanks for asking. CU next time.

One huge plus is a tranquil location, the home is nestled in a private lake cove. It is quite, spacious and comfortable. Another nice plus was the drawers and cabinets in the kitchen are labeled so you aren’t searching as long for whatever it is you need for cooking. But the home has a used feel, lots of delayed maintenance issues and a moldy smell. The dishwasher doesn’t really dry the dishes, the spa was broken, the dock was not useable, the yard not well maintained and the property just seemed tired. No pride in ownership was evident. That said, it was functional.and I would stay there again.

We had a wonderful time and plan to be back! If you’re traveling with kids know this house is STOCKED with multiple high chairs/boosters/toys/books/packn’ plays/crib mattresses the works! Next time we won’t be packing anything except the essentials and the kiddos plates/cups/silverware,
because everything else was there already! Also the layout was fantastic, decor was beautiful, and location was great! Can’t wait to go back!

So much potential… location and access is awesome. The house needs some time, skill and vision and it would be amazing. It was lots of fun and we enjoyed ourselves. Hopefully it won’t get run down from neglect.

Beautiful location on the water. House has many beds for larger groups. No fires or firepit outside and must be quiet for neighbors. Bathroom door upstairs locks you inside if you close the door. Downstairs master has a TV, but once you sign in with your own Netflix or Amazon account, there is not enough bandwidth to actually play a movie. Most games are missing pieces to play them .
