Our group loved staying in this beautiful property. We were there for a horse show, and there was plenty of room for us, along with lots of different and awesome community spaces. The KITCHEN was so well put together, we all agreed that a chef must own this home -- we had everything we needed! The downstairs fun area kept us all enjoying our time away from the show. Thanks again for an enjoyable home away from home! The couple of times we needed to reach out to the property management team, they responded right away and were extremely helpful.

Very well appointed and equipped. Had an issue with a smoke alarm, no one’s fault but annoying. Would highly recommend this serene and quiet house for families and friends.

Beautiful house in beautiful setting. Quiet, secluded location was perfect for our family to come together and celebrate 2 anniversaries. The new concrete driveway was a plus. The kids (of all ages) thoroughly enjoyed the game room. The house and kitchen were well equipped and supplied for a large group stay. We would definitely rent this house again.

We were a group of seven adults and two young children who stayed for a week. Drew and his host company were extremely responsive and accommodating from even before we decided to book. The location is breathtaking and tranquil, and easy to access anywhere we wanted to visit in Asheville. The house has a bit of a used feeling in the kitchen and bathrooms, but the pros overwhelmingly outweighed the cons. The house is well stocked with linens, toiletries and condiments. We enjoyed our evening walks in the neighborhood. Overall a memorable and wonderful family reunion, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property.

The home surpassed our expectations. The game room became the family hub of activity. Even the four year old was fascinated by the Pac Man Arcade game. The living spaces were truly spacious and bright. We enjoyed every one of the locations--the hot tub, theater room, living room (for reading), the fabulous dining table, kitchen/bar area and the upstairs TV room. We noticed that the gameroom was cool. Much to my amazement, once we turned on the fireplace in the game room that room warmed quickly. The entire place was terrific, with living spaces and bedrooms/bathrooms that gave everyone the ability to have together time as well as a little "space!" Thank you! If we are ever back in the Asheville area, we will stay again!

We stayed at Whiskey Way as my husband was running the Asheville Marathon. There were 10 of us, ranging in age from 17-61. The house is very large, plenty of room for everyone to have their space. The kitchen and area as well as game room was enjoyed by everyone in our group. Some of us also enjoyed the hot tub. We did not use but there is also a theater room. We highly recommend Whiskey Way for your next group or large family gathering.

The whole process of staying here was an absolute breeze. Drew was accommodating and speedy with responses. Sometimes when planning out of town trips waiting on responses are a nightmare when trying to orchestrate a game plan. We celebrated my daughters 13th Birthday here and it was a memorable one. We are usually busy bodies but there is a calmness here. We didn’t leave the house our whole stay! Watching the sunset on the balcony while making s’mores was a highlight.

The house was spacious and perfect for our large party! Easy to communicate with the property manager for any of our needs and definitely plenty of stores/restaurants within driving distance to get to if needed! Highly recommend and would stay again if we ever need another mountain getaway!

I chose this home to spend with my family for Thanksgiving and to host my for my wedding on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. NO REGRETS! House is amazing, has plenty of space and activities for kids and adults, and was peaceful as could be. I will absolutely be renting again!

Approximately 25 mins from Asheville. Uber had a little bit of a difficult time finding the place. Need to hold the drivers hand on the way in. Outside of that slight hiccup, this place is a gem. Very peaceful. Great views. Spacious. Game room was awesome including the slickest shuffle board table I’ve ever played on. Great communication from the rental company. Highly recommend!

One of the best VRBO properties that we have stayed at! Very accommodating for all ages and for a small family reunion it was perfect. The view of the mountains was great. The house had all the amenities that we needed. Very neat and well furnished. Loved the large dinner table for the entire family to sit around.

The house was beautiful, fully-equipped and provided excellent privacy. The game room was perfect, as was the hot tub and home theater in the basement. Drew (host) was very hospitable and quick to respond to communications. Great stay overall!

Positives There was a place for everyone, and everyone found their place. From the main living room to the mini office downstairs, everyone in the family was comfortable to find their own area in this very large and warm home. The home is very open and flows but also offered our family of 8 a very large family dining table that brought everyone together. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. We overpacked and brought so many items that were already at the home. Please reach out to host, as they are very responsive, to ask any questions before you overpack for items already in the house. The entire house also had great wi-fi. There are many positives about this vacation destination. The game room was our biggest draw to the location. We were surprised with all the amenities throughout. The shuffleboard, pool table, and video game were big hits with everyone. The entire room was very inviting and brought the family together with many activities. Pool was great to bring some competitive novice fun between both old and young. The views were amazing. The window let in large amounts of lights and views of the ever-changing clouds and surroundings. The side patios provided shade in the evening and allowed for a unique area for everyone to get away. The family enjoyed making smores over the propane heated patio table. There are 2 fire pits available that we did not have the opportunity to use. The driveway is steep, but the recently poured concrete made the drive up much easier. The house had everything we needed, and we did not feel like we had to go out to be entertained. Everyone was happy just being in this house. Multiple grocery stores within a 15 minute drive. It was secluded and private. Negatives There were too many positives to really complain about anything minor. If our family was to complain, we would feel petty as we all instantly fell in love with this house. The only item to be aware of is that the game room does not have AC and the room can get warm. We had read other reviews and were aware and brought fans to help keep us cool. We enjoyed our vacation and would love to return in the future. You won’t be disappointed.

We recently stayed at Whiskey Way Inn with a larger group of 10-12 throughout the weekend. We couldn't have asked for a better property with plenty of space, activities, and nice amenities to make it a trip to remember. The house is easy to get to from the airport and 15-20 minutes from anywhere you want to go to experience Asheville. The property management team was also easy to work with and saved the day by returning a wedding ring that was left behind. Great experience all around! 10/10

We just returned from vacation with our adult kids. The house worked very well for us. It was spacious and comfortable for us to cook, relax and play in. The size of the house was great. We initially were concerned it might be too big for the six of us, but it worked well for us all to have our privacy and space. One of our daughters had to work and the space downstairs with the desk was ideal. We utilized almost every inch of the inside of the home. The beds and furnishings were comfortable. The property was very quiet and peaceful. The kitchen was very well stocked.. It was large and easy to work in. It had many of the basics that are a pain to purchase when on vacation: Salt, pepper, vegetable and olive oil, an array spices, baggies, plastic wrap and foil, popcorn, some coffee for the drip and Keurig coffee makers, individual creamers, cooking spray, microwave popcorn, snack bags of goldfish, Ingredients for s’mores. Definitely enough to get you through the first evening. We thoroughly enjoyed the game room, in spite of it not having air conditioning. We also found the family room to be very comfortable for TV. The theater room downstairs was also a hit. The location to Asheville was about 20 minutes, making it easy to go in for eating and shopping. It was also very convenient to the airport. Management was very responsive and kind for the couple of things that came up during our stay. The view from the house was incredible. So beautiful! Some of the cons: there were very few towels. Each bedroom had one set of towels (hand, bath & wash cloth)for each sleeper. There were just a few extras. Not a huge deal for us as I didn’t mind doing laundry, but it was surprising and definitely notable. The road from the highway to the house was dark, narrow and winding. It felt a bit treacherous at night. We encountered multiple house flies upstairs on the first evening, and our kids staying downstairs saw spiders and centipedes throughout our stay. The yard was completely overgrown and was not cut until the Fri. before we left on Sat, which was disappointing. It is a great property, and I would definitely recommend it to family and friends. It would be perfect for multiple families/generations to stay in, and is comfortable with lots to do without even leaving the property.

We have a great time in Asheville for the weekend. Although we did get snowed in for w extra day the owner was very communicative I helping us out. It was the perfect house to get snowed in with so much space and lots of activities. Thanks again for making our trip great!

The stay was perfect! Everyone had enough room and enough privacy. The beds were comfortable. The furniture was very nice and well kept. We adequate towels and supplies. The appliances were up to date and everything worked as it should. The game room was a little chilly because it's not insulated like the rest of the house but all of the games in the game room, dart board, Nintendo and Corn Hole kept our group entertained literally for hours. The view is great and very private, yet convenient to everything you may need and only 25 minutes from Asheville or Sierra Nevada Brewery. The description of the home really doesn't do it justice. I rented several places and this has been the nicest so far. My only suggestion or thing to note is the drive is gravel and some points are a little steep. The very top of the driveway would be difficult for car to climb. We had a pickup truck a Subaru and front wheel drive Hyundai Santa Fe and a BMW. The BMW could not make the top of the drive. The Santa Fe did with a little effort. There is a pull off just before the top of the drive that one could use to park. Overall great stay and would definitely rent again!
