Great location. Poor maintenance. Trash was overflowing when we arrived. Food was left in the fridge and freezer from the last renters, so it was never cleaned out. Chairs by the lake were broken. We notified management and they said someone local would reach out, but nobody ever did.

The location is awesome, but the grounds and home need some attention.

On our check-in day, while traveling to Crystal Lake, I had messages that we would not be able to rent the cottage because the cleaning company was short staffed. They did end up getting us clean linens and let us in, also refunded the cleaning fee. The Shrubbery on Crystal Lake is in such disrepair it is dangerous. We found many things that were inexcusable for a rental property. One sliding door didn't work at all. The other sliding door the screen was broken. Although we tried to fix it numerous times, it was beyond repair. One of the bedroom windows was completely not functioning. You could have the window open but only when the screen was out. Then the screen was put in and the window practically fell out. We discovered screws sticking out of the bedposts in a bedroom-my 2 year old grandson discovered those-OMG! The place looked like it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned all summer. The stove was so old that you couldn't read any of the dials, and filthy. This company has no business renting this property until it is cleaned up and fixed. I communicated with Vacasa about the issues and told them if they sent me pictures of these things fixed I wouldn't post this review. That didn't happen. They did however provide a 10% discount for my troubles, but I've seen no evidence of repairs. It is a cute cottage with great potential and a fabulous deck and view! I have rented multiple cottages on South Shore over the years and this is a stand-out poor experience.

Close to several towns making it very convenient to get around. House was large enough for everyone, however the cleanliness was awful. Cobwebs all over and the screens wer so dirty! This needs a good deep cleaning!

Nice lake view.

Everything was just as we expected. We had a wonderful stay. Quiet neighborhood, nice sunsets and sunrises by the dock. Evenings around the fire and beautiful views from the cottage of the lake. The cottage was clean, beds comfortable. We will definitely be back again soon.

Great location near Frankfort with plenty of opportunities to shop, eat, swim and explore. The house was very worn and the yard is not maintained - at all. I’d stay in the area again but not the house.
