The whole glamping thing is a contradiction. You are going to the woods, getting away from the modern world and yet expect the indifferent pampering you would get at a motor lodge. The site is ringed by woods, and ample carts are available to move you luggage into the Airstream. The "room" was set up nicely, and in our section you were not on top of your neighbors. With the rainy conditions, it was nice that a staff member came out to help getting a fire going. The paths had some ruts, and there were some puddles, but overall a better set up than I was expecting. The can cocktails available in the lodge were pretty tasty and priced well. Sunrise in the Airstream was really relaxing and pretty.

The whole set-up is extremely family friendly. Activities for the junior campers abound. If you don't enjoy the overindulged, helicoptered, princes and princesses of Westchester running amok spilling everything, screaming, and crying when they inevitably ran into some obstacle they had never encountered, this may be a dealbreaker. Our Airstream also lost power the last night, and updates were slow. Overall the staff was very attentive, but, in my opinion, not prepared for the level of "attention" these guests require. A very earnest, park ranger-y vibe that clashed with the Land Rover class that was out to have a "night in the woods."

We love AutoCamp. We came for the first time last summer and stayed in the adventure tent. Super comfy. This year we booked the airstream. It was incredibly spacious and comfortable. Anything we needed right there! The grounds are gorgeous.

Nothing! The issue was with booking.com during our stay there was very bad flooding. A lot of the grounds were closed and we did not feel safe staying as many roads were being washed out. The staff at AutoCamp was happy to reschedule our final two days. Unfortunately, because I booked through Booking.com, I was unable to do that. I would suggest that you save your money on the insurance that doesn’t cover anything and book directly with auto camp through their website. I always book with Booking.com, and I am beyond disappointed with my experience this time. However, my experience with auto camp was exceptional, and I regret booking with Booking.com I actually re-booked with auto camp at the end of the month through their website directly. It ended up being cheaper than through booking and has more guarantees about rescheduling the stay.

Food, definitely a location where you should bring your own food to bbq if you can.

We have stayed before and loved it, this time the airstream itself felt neglected. The light bulbs where not consistent - the 2 bed bulbs where completely different shades -1 was a soft light the other was a super bright intrusive light The fan in bathroom squeezed WiFi went off Check out is 10am far to early
