It is a great location for us. Halfway to Mackinac Island. It is super clean. The communication is excellent. Rooms are comfortable.

Booking.com did not provide a text code for us to access our room. This was clearly an oversight on Booking.com because the site clearly stated (once we arrived) that there was no one on site. This needs to be addressed. The property clearly stated in their recorded message that a code will be provided by the booking company (Expedia, etc). Fortunately, we were able to reach Booking.com by phone after talking nonsense to an AI chatbot to resolve the situation.

The room was very clean - better than most places I've stayed in the past few years. Little things like bathroom corners were even clean. The check-in process was easy and smooth - I was skeptical being all digital, but it works so well! Our room decor was charming with a touch of trendy, comfortable for our needs, which was sleeping and breakfast. Breakfast was a wonderful surprise, we were not expecting to have such variety, and the fresh coffee vs. the Keurig in the room was appreciated. We weren't there long enough to enjoy the back yard and fire pit, but would love to stay again sometime.
While I appreciated the extreme cleanliness, the smell of cleaning products (Swiffer wet mop?) was a little overpowering.

There was lots of room to walk our dog behind the hotel. It was clean and comfortable.
It was very small and right on the side of a busy road. Road noise was an issue. Also, no complementary toiletries were provided. The breakfast was pretty minimal.
