Great location, unique layout, clean. Note: minivan does not fit in the garage with another car

The grounds are beautiful, our daughter got married up the street at the wedding bowl if was a perfect location. Family stayed upstairs In the other unit which accommodations 2 people and has a fantastic panoramic view. Needed some minor things (light bulb..etc) & owner came over right away he look care of our concerns.

This rental is in the perfect location - right across the street from the beach and within walking distance to Prospect St and most of La Jolla’s top spots. There’s an absolutely gorgeous, breath-taking view of the ocean from almost every room of the house, plenty of space and the decor is beautiful. The host Simon was extremely helpful the whole time, he answered every phone call and any issue we had was resolved within an hour or so. He even came by late at night to help us work the TV in the living room. We rented this property to throw a birthday party and I could not have asked for a better experience. As long as you are honest with the host about your plans and keep everything within the allotted event hours, this is a wonderful house to throw events in! I will definitely be back!

Location of this unit makes walking the village very easy. Simply said the beautiful views fr every room was wonderful. The garage space was a big plus.

It was extremely breathtaking. Every room had a view of the ocean. The host Simon was quick to respond to my questions. I would definitely rent this place again.

The listing was on 2 separate websites with different parking descriptions There for a wedding & with much to do, we couldn’t be moving our vehicles every 2 hours, so I specifically asked for clarification.I was told there was tandem parking for our 2 vehicles, 1 in the garage & 1 in the driveway. The garage was too small to park 2 vehicles in it & still be able to close it; we just let the other renters use it as they were there first.The driveway was too small to park a vehicle.The on-site manual also had a different description of the parking, so 3 sources had 3 different parking descriptions. We were stuck the entire 2.5 days without dedicated parking. When I contacted the host about it, he entirely ignored what he’d told me *in writing* & tried to guilt-trip me by saying he’d allowed us an “early check-in for free.” We paid almost $2000 for 2 nights & there were no renters checking out the day we checked in. Our early check-in was entirely irrelevant. I specifically chose a place with AC because it was hot & humid & we needed to be looking fresh. After checking in we learned the AC was broken.The host didn’t tell us. He blamed previous renters even though there were none the day before.There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher, no dishwasher detergent, & only a few drops of dish soap; a vent cover hanging from the ceiling; a light fixture taped to the ceiling; & the TV in the master didn’t work because it was attached to nothing. The host offered no compensation.

The location of the property is very good. When we checked in the property was not very clean. The stove was missing a knob, the blinds were not working, the laundry room door glass was cracked, the internet speed is slow, you can hear the people upstairs walking and dogs walking as there is no sound proofing . The major issue also is that the owner never changes the code and we had the top unit walk into ours at 930 pm at night. We did not feel safe there.

Love the location, the house is cool, but getting information from the owners was hard to impossible. Many communiques to them went unanswered. One shade in a bedroom didn’t work. No broom to clean the bare floors. Shower didn’t work on last day. Odd signs about not flushing toilet paper. No instructions for how to use high tech features of house. No dish towels.

The location of this home is spectacular, with a view of the cliffs in La Jolla. The communication with the property manager was excellent. The home is older, so although it was cleaned upon arrival, it could use a deep clean of the floors and kitchen area. We also ended up buying a new sponge since it seemed like it hadn't been replaced in a while. But it was nothing major and we had an excellent vacation.

My friends and I decided to have our annual secret Santa at La Jolla is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to. If you haven’t been to I highly recommend you do. When you first step into the property, you hear the ocean waves calmly moving. That’s probably the highlight of the whole experience. The ocean in your backyard feels unreal. You have the best views looking out into the ocean. The check in/ walk in process was fairly straightforward because the of the instructions is given once you book the property. You walk onto the property, you notice the flower walk way. The pictures of the living rooms, bedrooms , kitchen, are all accurate. Everything is provided plates towels, utensils. Multiple of windows for natural lighting to capture the beauty of the place. There are some things that I wanted warn about or renters be aware of. The property is shared with the owner. There will be a family living upstairs of the property. So if you hear footsteps it’s the family. The garage can only fit in 1 car because the other side of the garage is occupied by the family. If you have a sedan, I warn you it will NOT fit in the garage because of the amount space you’re given. There are plenty of items throughout the household that needs to be updated. The toilet bidet is now touch but not really practical. The master bedroom shower is a tough one to figure out. The whole theme of the house felt like it was put together last minute. Put it doesn’t takeaway from the location and the scenery you’ll be seeing. I recommend this place of you’re going to just be gone the whole day and to crash at during the evening. Overall experience was subpar. For a vacation home you still want to make the home a vacation environment inside the house. I enjoyed my stay but it definitely needs some help.

We enjoyed the location very much but there were many items that need repair in the home. The pots and pans had to be washed before use, as did everything we wanted to use. One knob missing from tbe lovely Decor stove and one light out above the stove top. It would have been a better stay if the kitchen was cleaner. Thank you very much for the use of u r VRBO.

There was some miscommunication and the host wife was very rude and yelling at my husband. We only continued to stay because my son was getting married across the street at the wedding bowl. Otherwise would have found another place if time allowed.

Very clean property, super accommodating owners, perfect location with ocean views , very comfortable beds. Kitchen well appointed. The only disadvantage is the sound from upstairs separate unit. One recommendation to Owners would be to increase furnishings and comfortable seating in living room.

Perfect location for our beach getaway. The house is fantastic and exactly as described (maybe better!). Great activity in area during the day and wonderfully quiet at night. We walked to a great breakfast each morning at Sugar and Scribe. We are already thinking about a return trip.

The historic lampshade property was perfect for our family gathering from grandchildren to grandparents, eight people total. Wonderful home. Wonderful sunsets. Great parking for one car. If you have more than one car, please aware that the second car will need to find street parking. Deck views are amazing. This historic house is dividing into two rental units. The unit upstairs can be rented separately. The people above you can be heard from below. Wonderful house: memorable weekend. This house stops traffic. People walking by stop to look at the beautiful gardens and the architecture.

Beautiful views of the ocean. A nice deck with grill and table that directly overlooks the ocean. The house has unique architecture. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. There is noise from occupants above. But, minor. Family of five had a wonderful stay.

The property and views are as presented on the listing. We had a bit of a learning curve because the house has automatic and remote controlled toilets, window shades etc. The house was very clean. A couple of small things came up which I needed to contact the owner about and he was very responsive and helped us out immediately. Wonderful stay and great location!

We booked this house to celebrate a Survivorversary and birthday! It was perfect. Very clean, lots of amenities, enough space for each of us introverts to recharge, beautiful views, gorgeous house that’s dog friendly, and easy walking access to all the shops and restaurants in La Jolla. It was the perfect space to have a relaxing week by the beach.

Location was beautiful, sunsets were gorgeous. One of the cleanest beachfront vacation home we have ever rented and the most high tech home we stayed at. My whole family had a lot fun and enjoyed the house very much. Thank you so much for allowing us to rent your property. Lynn and Family

This house is amazing and has a perfect location. I would absolutely come back with my family and stay again. The one and only complaint is that in the master bedroom, there seems to be no privacy. We couldn't lock the door to keep kids from coming in. Also, the master bedroom is directly underneath the upstairs VRBO. You hear everything from the walking, talking, moving at all it seems. If you are noise sensitive like I am, I'd suggest ear plugs. Again, this wouldn't stop me from staying in this place, but it is an issue. The manager/owner was very nice. Thank you!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stayed at this beautiful ocean-view house over the weekend. We were able to walk to various restaurants or take long walks along the coast to visit the sea lions and seals. We also rent the second floor unit which gave us even more room to spread out. The owner is very communicative and helpful.

Location/activities: Great location ocean views, and several engagement/proposals outside of property from picnic companies setting up in beach front grass areas. Good for walks on the beach w/ many picnic areas and benches, scooter rental avail via app around the neighborhood, golf cart rental around the corner, brunch/coffee places abt 10-15 walk or drive to bigger restaurants (reserve early or long wait during holiday weekend) some shopping areas for short drive, Duffy boat rental is about 25 mins out in mission bay. Great area for seniors (took my parents) that wants to do easy activities or just enjoy the property, good for couples, and kids to explore. House: Seems clean, plenty fridge space for the weekend, mostly modern and easy to access with one parking space to leave to places and back feels safe. Food delivery /Insta cart drop off was easy for drivers to drop off with a fence area to drop off stuff without others taking it. Consider and comfortable w/ sharing space w/ an upstairs tenant on the premises and not entirely private space. Would come back again and refer others to visit. Thank you for having us!
