PROS: Spacious kitchen. Open floor plan. Lots of windows. Use of part of the garage. On the water. Fun games in basement like Pac Man and pingpong. Lots of boardgames. Nice big Deck. Also deck near water. Can kayak on the inlet. Quiet neighborhood. Lovely to watch the birds on the water. Near Lake Michigan. Stu Visser Nature park for walks just around corner. Pickle ball courts nearby. La Playa Mexican restaurant. Farmers market held several days on Ottawa.
CONS: Must sign 5 page contract with BVW so should have rented directly from BVW to save $500 VRBO charge. Plants in water makes it difficult to use anything other than a kayak on the water so need to use public boat launch for sailboat.
Some road noise when sitting outside and loudspeaker from church on Ottawa.
Those in upstairs bedrooms need to be aware that soundproofing isn't good so downstairs bedroom people can hear the upstairs people.
Refrigerator wasn't working properly. BVW company didn't believe me initially. Food kept at improper temp. is dangerous so I was persistent to get action then got to talk to a local person from BVW. (Initially you are corresponding with people out of country outsourced by BVW.) Local person dropped off a mini fridge and lots of ice bags that evening. A fridge repairman came to install new fan a couple of days later. Did receive a little remuneration. Would think part of BVW's job would be regular checks on properties: oven door didn't shut tight. 2 of the windows didn't open.

The property was lovely. But they decided to do work on the beach front and made a muddy mess if the yard in doing so. Could not get to pier with out going through mud. No fire pit available which we were looking forward to. Worst of all moldy and musty basement which made allergies of some members of our party flare up quite badly. We could not use basement bedroom so some had it sleep on couch. We loved our stay in Holland but though the home was very nice they really need to get the moisture out of the basement.

This property is misrepresented in photos as having a clean waterfront. We know Lake Macatawa is a dark bottom lake but this property’s frontage is full of logs , duck weed and water is not suitable for swimming. Not even suitable for floating on raft. Lake Michigan public beach is 20 minutes away, if you can get in. Beware.

This home is just lovely inside and it sits on the Macatawa Lake with a beautiful view at sunset! The house was fully stocked with anything we needed including serving dishes. The basement is a riot...ping pong, Pac Man, Foosball and shuffle board as well as a large variety of board games if you need!!! The house has a nice open floor plan for enjoying your time together. Gas grill cooked up great steaks! There is a small gas fire pit to sit at right down by the water. And the fishing was fun! We caught a lot, but I wouldn't eat them out of that lake! LOL!! Cant go wrong!

Exceeded our expecations !
Everything described in the VRBO website is 100% accurate, we rented this place for our daughter's wedding week, which fortunately still happened on 7-18-20. The house made a wonderful backdrop for pictures the morning of our daughter's wedding and we had our first look on the deck overlooking the lake, it was priceless. The home was in perfect shape, clean with all the amenities as described.
We highly recommend.

Lake Fun
Beautifully designed interior. Enjoyed all the activities lake has to offer. Although boat dock still under water we made it work! Would stay again.

Family gathering
The home was perfect for a family of 6 including a 2 yo. Outdoor eating, grilling, lots of yard space. Kitchen nice and spacious and light. Property manager was very responsive. Only downside was high lake levels. Pier and dock still not useable. This hampered boating activities as docking would be a challenge. The rest was great.

Pine Bay Beautiful
This was a great home. We look for location and atmosphere. This was perfect! The house fit us very well. Vacationed with our children and 2 grand children. They were able to have the bottom level all to themselves. The house was well stocked and very clean. Access to attractions, downtown, events, shopping and restaurants was excellent. We were very pleased

Checked out three nights early
The house itself has been nicely redone. It was comfortable. For the price we paid per night, we were disappointed with the grounds (unable to use the water, active nest of mice in the fire pit and what appeared to be fruit flies in the kitchen). We had envisioned a beach house. This is NOT a beach house. During our stay, there was absolutely no way to use the water, not even to sit by it to enjoy it. We spent all of our time on the large shaded deck. Additionally, we were not able to control the temperature in the basement rooms and the only additional, and needed blankets were light, fleece, small blankets with a note written on notebook paper that said don’t use. We left 3 nights early because there just wasn’t anything to do there, but sit on the shaded deck. If we had been paying half of what we paid, we might have felt differently. We enjoyed our stay because we were gathered with family for our daughter’s wedding. To date, we haven’t heard from anyone regarding the return of our security deposit. The neighbors were lovely and helpful.

Great Location
Location is perfect for the state park and restaurants. A very quick ride to the downtown area. House has ALOT to offer, plenty to do for kids. Water level is up of course, so could not use the dock to fish...... Mother Nature sometimes doesn’t cooperate. Good stay overall and a very nice property!

Great home. Very clean.
Only bad thing was water was high in the back so we couldn’t use the pier. The sitting area with fireplace on the lake and back deck were still great! Kids loved the downstairs and the back yard! Would definitely go back!
