I'm so grateful for Hamaz, he let me stay until 5PM on the day of checkout. And servive was fantastic, the room was clean and tidy, everything was on set.
The location is perfect, it's only 3mins from the Petra entrance.

This hotel is very well located, 4 min to Petra’s visitor centre. The room was spacious and with nice lighting and safe.
I am reviewing it comparatively to my hotel in Amman which was 10 min to the citadel, in old town.
Comparatively, this was 14 Jordanian dinars more than my Amman hotel. In Amman I was given 1 bottle of water per day I stay plus 1 in the fridge (at Petra Agora I was given no water). The TV didn’t work at Petra agora - it wasn’t easy to set up and when I asked the reception chap for help he came to my room and said it’s been very windy and no signal. In my final night someone else at reception came up and made it work but it was not easy so once I left and returned to my room it again wouldn’t work.
In Amman they cleaned my room daily and - most important - removed the rubbish from bins. At Petra Agora their default is not to clean unless you ask - but again no one told me that at reception. In a country where you don’t flush toilet paper, a dirty bin for days is simply unsanitary.
The shower was ok, the shower head needed a bit of cleaning, so water would flow more easily.
My hotel in Amman included breakfast for the fee, 14 dinars cheaper. Here they wanted more money for breakfast.
The air conditioning was acceptable but didn’t really get cold and was extremely noisy. I asked at reception if the restaurant across the street was good and he told me to go to his mom’s restaurant instead.
So overall I’d say this was not fantastic - and unlucky for them, I compared it with another hotel and they fell short. My advice for management is to train reception staff on communications, to leave instructions in the room for using tv and aircon and to offer hospitality - after all the country is known for it - and a bottle of water goes a long way!
No daily room cleaning or at least emptying of bins
Tv wasn’t working, was told signal was down, then told a different story
No bottle of water in the room
Air con very loud
Toilet flush button sticks and wastes water
No place on sink to put anything, no shelf
