We loved everything about this property!

Beautiful home with lots of space, it was 35 degrees almost every day and the house stayed so cool. Great air conditioning in the living room enough to reach each of the rooms if you left it running for 30 minutes but we didn’t even need it. The house is set back in the shade and stays cool throughout the hot summer days and nights. 5 minute walk to the beach with free umbrellas and sunbeds, you don’t even need to buy a drink ! Sikia is one of the only places in Sithonia that isn’t overrun with tourists and feels like a true getaway. Walking distance from the beach, bakery and meat market. 5 minute drive from the beautiful village of Sikia and a 15 minute walk along the beach to 2/3 amazing tavernas! Don’t listen to the negative reviews, this place is a gem.

Nothing

The villa is surrounded by trees and there is a very big lawn in the front. Ceiling fans in the bedrooms are doing good job, but there is no such in the living room and it is hot there.

lack of air conditioning in the living room or at least ceiling fans

Inside the property is as per the photos. Comfortable and great for a family week. Location is good with beach access, parking for car and some lovely restaurants and cafes.

One of the key reasons we chose this property was for the outside space. As a family we wanted to use the BBQ and sit outside in the morning and evenings. Unfortunately this is not possible due to the mosquito issues. The grass was uncut and overwatered and created a perfect environment for mosquitos. This was reported to the owner but he was more interested in keeping the grass green. Other green gardens in the area are not suffering from the same issue. The whole family was bitten non stop, despite us using repellents etc. It made the outside area unusable. We rented three different properties in Greece for our holiday and this was the only one we had this issue. The BBQ also has no gills, trays or rack - so while it looks great unless you bring all this you cant use.
