Nacho Hostel Cebu

Nacho Hostel is a great option for backpackers looking to stay in Cebu. The hostel is located a little farther from the main city, so getting to some of the major attractions and busy areas requires a bit of travel. However, the facilities and overall atmosphere more than make up for this. The staff were exceptional throughout my stay. A special mention to Lesley, who was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The rest of the team were equally pleasant and helpful, which made the stay feel very comfortable and welcoming. One of the things I enjoyed most was the range of facilities and activities available. There is a swimming pool, billiards, games, karaoke, and a spacious common area where guests can relax and socialize. The hostel also sells drinks and snacks, which is convenient if you don’t want to head out. There is also a Jollibee nearby, adding to the convenience. Overall, the hostel offers a welcoming atmosphere, good facilities, and genuinely friendly staff. Despite being slightly away from the city center, I had a very enjoyable stay and would happily recommend it to other backpackers.

There are just a few small things that could make the stay even better. The swimming pool could use a bit more regular cleaning and maintenance, as it wasn’t very clean when I stayed there. The shower water pressure was also quite low, so it took a little longer to shower comfortably. I also think adding privacy curtains to the bunk beds would be a great touch. Even a simple curtain would give guests a little more privacy, especially when changing clothes or getting in and out of bed.

The overall vibe of the outdoor area pool area and bar/grill, artwork around the hostel. Travel info at reception/receiving area. Hostel kept relatively clean. Relatively Quiet rooms!

Slow Check-in, asked for 500 pesos key deposit or to hold passport, did not feel welcomed, guest are not allowed to cook their own meals like in many international hostels. Lack of outlets in room. Room temp too cold.
