Heerlijk verblijf!

I'm going to be honest - on arrival at this hotel I hated it. The downstairs is extremely dated and run down. The area is ok - but if you want more of a traveller vibe I'd definitely recommend El Tunco over La Libertad. However, it grew on me the longer I was there and it definitely had some good points. We paid $195 for 3 nights.
Positives:
- Super friendly and welcoming lady on arrival
- Large room
- Bathroom with hot water and bath (very rare in these parts)
- Toiletries and lots of clean towels provided
- Balcony and view overlooking the sea
- Good WIFI
- Aircon
- Comfy beds
- Shared kitchen which was well stocked
- Short walk to a nice area with nice pier
Negatives:
- The whole hotel is pretty run down and can feel a bit depressing
- Really old dated carpets in room
- Lots of dilapidated fixtures and fittings
- Not a private balcony (it's shared with the neighboring room)
- Not a private kitchen as advertised
- Not the nicest stretch of beach
