We were met on arrival by the host. She personally showed us around the property, told us where to find the best local bakery (3 mins) and supermarket and a little about the local area - where to walk, where to visit. Lots of extras, biscuits, jams, milk, butter, wine, beach towels, shampoo, laundry detergent, etc. Rarely have I stayed in a property that was better than the photos. This was in abundance. It was perfect. The beautiful pedestrianised beachfront is a minute away with lots of restaurants along the way. You can hire umbrellas and beds for around 20 euros a pair. Cabanas a bit more but lovely. The beds are owned by the local restaurants so you order drinks and food from your bed. There are changing huts and beach showers all along the beach. The sand is clean, soft and golden and the water is calm and crystal clear. I had little fish swimming with me one day. A beautiful clean and safe area. You can hire self-drive boats in Nea Chora harbour or other water sports. Chania town is a lovely 10-15 minute walk away westwards with an old town and plenty of shops and more restaurants. Eastwards is a walk taking up to 30-40 minutes each way all along beaches - so no need for shoes - just the sand in your toes, sun on your face and wind in your hair. We loved our stay at Rikas apartments and can't wait to go back.

Nothing it was perfect.

Many bakeries, coffee shops, restaurants to grab a coffee and breakfast to go or stay. Close proximity to walk to city's vibrant locations.

For 4 people the second bedroom could use a bigger bed instead of using the pull out couch.

It was in a prime location It was clean It had all the required facilities needed in an apartment and even more ie cold water/ wine/ bread/ snacks/ deli meats/ toilet paper/ washing powder etc to get you started It was one of 4 apartments and we had the second floor. Modern, clean decor

Myself and my two adult children loved the apartment Stones throw away from the beach A 15 minute walk to the old town along the seafront However if you didn’t want to go to the old town then there are plenty of taverna’s along the sea front We loved it

Excellent location right at Nea Chora beach, with a balcony view of the sea. There are lots of small super markets, good bars, very nice restaurants & bakery’s within a few minutes walk. Nice 10-15 minute walk along the water to Chania old town which is beautiful and has an unlimited number of restaurants, bars and shops. The apartment was spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need from toiletries to towels as well as a food parcel which was a lovely surprise. Rika is very welcoming and could not be more helpful, a lovely host.
