Aurora Hotel & Italian Restaurant

Charming place, the owner was so kind. Location was perfect. Bed was extremely comfortable.

It is very quaint and has a certain charm about it. Very close to Nairn amenities and really reasonably priced. Despite the room being a single bed, it was really comfortable and I had a good sleep. Shower is good. Staff are really nice too.

It's a little old-fashioned and could do with some improvements. There's a rather off-putting cooking smell of old garlic in the hallway which is quite odious. The downside of being a hotel as well as a restaurant. If staying in the single room, it is really pokey. Ceiling is quite close to your head in the bathroom and where the bed is. Breakfast was also a bit average and cheap. But it being included in the price is a positive.

From the warm welcome on arrival and clear explanation of the facilities, right through to breakfast the following morning, I genuinely couldn’t fault my stay at the Aurora. Dinner in the restaurant was extremely tasty, and the cheesecake was absolutely delicious. The waiting staff were smartly dressed, friendly and attentive, and the whole restaurant had a very professional but welcoming feel. Breakfast was equally good, with a traditional Scottish feel, plenty of choice and prompt service, something I particularly appreciate when I need to get moving in the morning. My room was modern, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The en-suite was equally modern, with a large shower tray and dual-headed electric shower. The mattress was extremely comfortable, there were plenty of conveniently positioned power sockets, a large-screen TV, and tea and coffee-making facilities. There is also ample on-site parking, with additional street parking available alongside the hotel.

I honestly can't think of anything I didn't like about my stay.
