Dimora Lecerf

The accommodation is beautiful, with a charming traditional Italian style. From the balcony, you have the most amazing view overlooking a wonderful piazza. The room is very spacious and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Francesco is a wonderful host. He responds incredibly quickly and is always very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We felt very well taken care of throughout our stay.

The location was perfect. The apartment was just a few minutes walk from where the airport bus drops you (& for the return to the airport). Francesco was our contact and he was brilliant a brilliant communicator and sent us photos and video of how the self check-in works, keypad codes etc the day before. Our flight was late so we arrived after midnight, expecting everything to be closed (from the reviews we'd read about having to book restaurants in advance, Sicilians eating early and everything closing at 10pm) but that wasn't the case. There were some really nice local bars on the doorstep and we had a great meal in the early hours. It was a 2 minute walk to the port area, 15 minute walk to the food markets and cathedrals and UNESCO landmarks. Our room had everything we needed - bedding, loads of towels, great shower, air con. There are various communal areas: a big room with coffee, tea and biscuits, an outside terrace upstairs, a little kitchen the guests can used with a big shared fridge, sink etc. 10am is the check out time but Francesco said we could leave our luggage in the communal area and the keycode would still work for the day, which was a real bonus as we had a few more places we wanted to see in Palermo without having to cart our bags around in the heat. We had a great stay. I would 100% recommend Dimora Lecerf and would definitely try to stay there again on a return trip to Palermo.

Everything

The studios are located in the heart of Palermo in the Vucciria neighbourhood which is very lively at night, but not excessively noisy. Palermo is a beautiful city and the Dimora Lacerf conveys its ancient and noble aura: rooms are neatly furnished with elegance and a touch of Italian "buon gusto".

There is no way of meeting people in charge for the check in. Everything is done through mobile messages: though really kind, I still missed human beings at my arrival. Despite the nice furniture, a table would perhaps be needed in my room. The cleaning lady changes towels and bed sheets every three days, which is indeed too little for my standards. Breakfast is served thorugh a convention with the local bar, but you get only one drink (etiher coffee or orange juice) and something to eat.
