Austrian Palace Hotel

The gentleman at reception was absolutely wonderful — friendly, welcoming and genuinely helpful. The room was clean, and overall the service throughout our stay was excellent. Breakfast was very good, with a large buffet and plenty of choice. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and felt well looked after.

For a four-star hotel, I was surprised that there were no drinks available for guests in the lobby/reception area in the evening — not even complimentary water, tea or coffee. This would be a very simple but welcome addition. Although the room was clean, it was beginning to show some wear and could benefit from a little maintenance and refreshing. There were marks on the walls, the tap was loose, and the shower was missing a door. These are relatively small things, but fixing them would make the room feel much more in line with a four-star hotel. There was also a minor issue with the coffee machine at breakfast, although it was eventually sorted out.

Nice location with not bad parking. Great roof restaurant for breakfast.

Old facilities. Very low rated breakfast with limited choices.
