Istanbul Old City Colorful Houses Balat PETRION Hotel

Such a great base for our stay in Istanbul. Slightly away from the madness of the city but close enough via public transport to be 5 minutes away. The staff were great too. We arrived at 6am after a long flight. They’d arranged an airport transfer which worked well. When we checked in Hans, the staff member, said your room is ready and breakfast is ready for you on the house! A great welcome! Also it was great having a restaurant and bar on site. Well worth a visit. Great views too.

I really enjoyed my stay. The absolute highlight of the hotel is, without a doubt, the staff. Han, Zeynep (or Sena?), and Ezgi - the woman who was taking care the breakfast and the other that was taking care of the coffe place in the ground floor (I guess and the entire team are exceptionally kind, attentive, and thoughtful. Whenever any issue came up, it was handled with great care, sensitivity, and genuine concern for the guest. Their service makes a real difference and made the whole experience feel very special. The hotel itself is beautiful: small, sophisticated, very well maintained, and decorated with excellent taste. It truly feels like a boutique hotel, with its own character and charm. Breakfast is wonderful and deserves a special mention. In addition to being delicious, it is served with a spectacular view over the Golden Horn. It is an experience in itself and a perfect way to start the day in Istanbul. I would definitely stay here again and recommend the hotel without hesitation. The cleaning ladys were also fantastic, nice, and super efficient.

There was nothing negative worth mentioning. My experience was excellent.

Posizione perfetta per la visita di Balat ma anche per il centro di Istanbul. Camere confortevoli e begli spazi comuni con un ambiente ampio affacciato su una via tranquilla. Ottima colazione ricca di proposte salate.

Forse qualche proposta dolce nella colazione migliorerebbe l’offerta.

La posizione. Il quartiere tranquillo. La camera non sulla strada.

La camera ha qualche "grosso" problema di odore di scarico. Noi abbiamo cercato di farlo capire coprendo con gli asciugamani tutti gli scarichi. Ma l'odore era insopportabile. Ci saremmo asettari un cambio di camera ma forse il problema è su tutta la struttura. La colazione minimal è soprattutto non prima delle 8:30. Molti tour partono alle 9. Abbiamo saltato anche 1 colazione.... Nel complesso cmq è una buona struttura.
