Owner's attitude! The host we booked with on 6th August cancelled on Friday 18th. We had booked transport and events in Porto so needed to find accommodation urgently. But we were travelling & missed the email regarding online check in. The host sent 3 emails regarding different topics but did not point out that we had no yet checked in. The last email was Sunday morning regarding housekeeping services. We requested that just the towels be replaced every alternate day. No response was received. On the evening of the 3rd day we inquired about the towels. We were then told that housekeeping only come for stays of 7 days or longer & replacement towels would cost €15! Really! Be careful - there is no lift in this building. There is a washing machine but no dryer and no where to hang laundry. A cupboard is provided but only 3 hangers so we spent 5 nights living out of suitcases. This apartment block is on a very busy road. The air-conditioning doesn't work too well (unit probably under powered for the size of the room) but the noise is unbearable when the windows are open.

Reasonably close to the town centre, especially once you work out the quickest route (walk left not right), close to the river and boardwalk to the main centre and restaurants.

A little noisy as it is on a main road and construction across the road, and if you are elderly or just finished the Camino, you might just confirm the floor you are on before booking, as there is no lift and 62 steps to level three (3).
