Khatuna and Bondo are the nicest people! We got a great dinner and also a very yummy breakfast cooked by Khatuna. And they gave us fresh apples, walnuts and grapes from the garden. Our daughter especially loved it. And the cute cats! Although they really helped us out when we forgot to properly plan our stay, they refused to take some extra tip and handed it over to our daughter. If you want to take the road to their place on your own, you really need a 4x4 as there are some steep rocks on the 1.5 km path. But it's totally worth it. It's situated right beside the Cave Town Vardzia surrounded by beautiful mountains and quiet nature. The entrance to the path to their place is right next to the parking space at the end of the road. There are signs indicating the direction. We would have loved to stay another night, but unfortunately we had to go back to Tbilisi. Thanks for a really wonderful stay!

Khatuna and her husband are outstanding hosts. They made us super welcome, cook delicious hearty food — it felt like we were amongst family. This is the second time I’ve stayed here and what I didn’t realise is that they grow all of their own fruit & vegetables - they even make their own wine!

You can’t see the cave monastery from the property, but part of the charm is that you’re somewhere completely remote and tranquil.

Nous rejoignons l'avis des voyageurs qui nous ont précédés. Très belle adresse, le couple Bondo/Ratina est très sympathique, nous avons été très bien reçu par eux, les repas étaient copieux (produits /maison), la chambre propre est confortable. Grâce au traducteur Google, nous avons pu converser durant des heures avec Bondo (discussions intéressantes qui nous ont passionnés). Encore un grand merci à ce fabuleux couple. NB: Pour ceux qui ne disposent pas de voiture 4x4, le propriétaire peut venir vous chercher à Vardzia avec la sienne (distance : environ 1,5 km)

Best place we stayed in a 2 week holiday in Georgia. Fantastic host and the food was superb - all from the local farms. Bring some cash for payment food and be very hungry! (Also one needs a 4x4 to drive there - but if you don't have one the host will come collect you)
