1. The view from the property was nice.
2. The staff was very friendly.
3. Food was actually pretty good, changed with every meal, and every day was different.
1. Beds were very uncomfortable. They could have put a pillow top
2. Linens were old and need an upgrade.
3. When the people above us took a shower, the water leaked into our bathtub.
4. The "beach" was disgusting: 40 meters from the harbor so very polluted and dirty.
5. Excursions were extremely over priced, arrived late. I took the "Rincon beach safari" which included a plantation in the description of the tour. We were brought to some random person's house (described as a typical homestead) and shown 1 cocoa tree and one coffee bean tree and brought to a gift shop...not a plantation by any stretch of the imagination.
6. Staff spoke very little to no English or any other language other than Spanish, for that matter. I am willing to let this slide because they recently re-opened, and it's all new staff. I speak Spanish fluently, so it's not an issue for me. However, I could see this being a problem for many.
7. The restaurants: limited to one visit per restaurant. Plates were very small, and honestly, the food at the buffet was just as good or better.
8. All inclusive was not so all-inclusive: only one beer available, and if you wanted a different one, you had to pay 7$usd. Every meal at the restaurants had a paid option. Basically, it's a pay to upgrade model. It sucks to go to a place that's supposed to be all-inclusive and have a bunch of things on offer that you have to pay more for. Personally, I don't want to have that dangled in front of me at an all-inclusive. It's kind of the whole point of an all-inclusive. If a premium package existed, it was not mentioned.
