Not worth the money

Location was very good out in the country side.

Unfortunately, our experience wasn’t great from the start. On the first night, the hot tub wasn’t working properly — the jets were broken and, more importantly, it wasn’t hot. While that wasn’t a huge issue for us, it was still disappointing. We then used the shower, only to find the drains were blocked, which caused the bathroom to flood. I had to clear the blockage myself and spent over an hour mopping the floors, which wasn’t a great way to begin the stay. That night was also extremely cold. In fairness to the owner, the oil heating had tripped, but once it was reported, they did arrange for someone to come out the same day and fix it, which we appreciated. However, the indoor pool, which is advertised as heated, was freezing cold — honestly, the lake down the road would have been warmer. I understand energy prices are high for everyone, but this was still very disappointing. The sauna was also not working and was full of stored items, despite being advertised as available. The games room had no heating either, making it unusable due to how cold it was. I’m not usually someone who writes reviews or complains, and we only stayed here temporarily while moving into our new house, so we weren’t there much. However, for the price paid, the property was not worth it. It’s definitely not a 4-star experience and needs money spent on maintenance and general upkeep. I don’t want to be unkind to the owners, but based on our experience, I wouldn’t return.

Beautiful accommodation.

Most lovely little cottage. Very clean, peaceful and quiet.

Exceptional

It was like home from home, relaxing and convenient for the local amenities.

Nothing really. Perhaps a laundry facility would have been beneficial.
