Authentic traditional thatch cottage, located about 5kms outside Ardara. Lovely sultana cake left for us on arrival which was a nice touch. Kitchen had everything we needed for our short stay.
Beds a bit soft for my liking, WiFi poor.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We were able to take our dog too. They advised us of great areas to visit. The accommodation was a traditional Irish thatched cottage, superb. The hosts had supplied everything you could want, including hot water bottles ( just what you need in the west of Ireland in winter). There were lots of dishes and utensils in the kitchen in case anyone wants to cook.
The cottage is close to a road which was very busy while we were there, the height of summer, however it was quiet from early evening and the bedroom is at the other end of the cottage so you can't hear any road noise. I imagine the road is much quieter at other times of the year.

The location was spot on. Very near to superb beaches and the lovely small town of Ardara, which had everything you could need. The hosts, Bernadette and Conal are wonderfully warm and genuine people. A nicer couple would be difficult to find. Bernadette had kindly made us a gingerbread loaf which we loved. The cottage itself is a beautiful renovation of a traditional thatched Irish cottage and if that’s what you want to experience, Beagh Cottage is just the very place. We loved it.

Exceptional hospitality.....and warm welcome.....the cottage was beautiful and so traditionally Old Ireland.......my daughter's first ever thatched Irish cottage......creating an atmosphere of true Irishness....
