Whistler's Rest è un bellissimo e accogliente cottage in pietra con vista sulle brughiere a cinque minuti in auto dalla città di St Ives, ristoranti, gallerie e spiagge. Il cottage è pet friendly e offre il parcheggio per una macchina.
Il grazioso giardino in stile cottage è perfetto per godersi una cena rilassante o un bicchiere di vino dopo una giornata in spiaggia, prima di fermarsi a godervi splendide viste sul tramonto. Il tavolo e le sedie in legno possono ospitare comodamente quattro persone. In alternativa, c'è un piccolo tavolo da bistrot fuori dalla cucina.
Questo è il cottage perfetto per un rifugio romantico, un'esperienza a piedi o una vacanza in famiglia.
Al piano terra si trova un salotto con stufa a legna e comodi divani in pelle. La cucina è ben attrezzata con doppio forno elettrico e piano cottura, frigo / freezer, forno a microonde, lavatrice e una zona pranzo per quattro.
Per la parte anteriore della proprietà c'è anche una piccola area salotto con grande finestra con vista sul giardino, una posizione ideale per il caffè del mattino.
Un bagno con doccia e WC si trova anche su questo piano.
Una scala a chiocciola conduce al piano superiore due camere da letto matrimoniali. La camera da letto principale gode di travi in legno con una splendida vista sulle brughiere. La camera da letto principale ha un letto matrimoniale e un bagno con vasca.
La seconda camera da letto matrimoniale si trova nella parte anteriore del cottage con ampio letto matrimoniale, offre una splendida vista sul giardino e oltre.
C'è un piccolo ripostiglio che ospita un asciugabiancheria per la vostra convenienza e lo spazio di archiviazione per tutte le attrezzature da spiaggia e tavole da surf. C'è anche una linea di lavaggio e rubinetto esterno.
Sul retro della proprietà c'è l'accesso diretto alle brughiere - perfetto per chi ama camminare.
Un delizioso pub di campagna è a pochi passi di distanza.

This cottage is very well equipped and perfect for two adults sharing. The property is smaller than the pictures suggest, particularly the front garden. A real plus is the outside tap which is so useful when travelling with a dog in winter or for dealing with muddy boots if you are a walker. The welcome pack was most generous. The cottage was spotlessly clean on arrival. The only downside to this property is the very busy road it sits along side. We stayed during December when the traffic should have been naturally lighter but we still took our lives in our hands when trying to cross the road to the field opposite. Take extreme care with small children and make sure your dog is firmly on a lead when coming out of the garden gate. Needless to say it is a risky old business pulling out from the parking space to join the traffic.

I left a review at the cottage on the feedback form. We really loved our stay here at the cottage. It was a really cosy cottage, and felt a home from home. One thing I forgot to mention is that my daughters said the bedroom
Wardrobe smelt funny inside. The front bedroom. They said it smelt stale. We kept spraying body spray in it.

I took my 84 yr old Mother to this Cottage for her first Holiday after my Father has passed away, First impressions were great, only issue was the spiral staircase. Please put a photo of this on your website as it is can be a problem for somebody with mobility issues.
Secondly was the issue of a wasps nest right outside her bedroom window. We first noticed them on Thursday and after removing after 50 that had got inside , kept the window closed and thought that would be the end of it. She was then kept awake all night by them buzzing around in the roof above her head and they were still getting in. Rang escape to St Ives on Friday who said this had been a problem before and they promptly sent someone round to sort it. He sprayed stuff into the roof and after assuring us no more would get in, to keep window closed and left. However to our horror approx. half an hour later, the wasps started coming up through the floorboards, it was horrendous. They were in floor as well !!The noise was incredible. My Mother was crying and upset, so I took the decision to leave early and drive home through the night to Manchester.
I have complained to Escape to St Ives about this and have showed them the videos I took , nobody expects to have this experience and have told them I sincerely hope they sort out this 'large colony 'as the pest man called it before they (and you) rent the cottage out to more guests, especially families with children.
It was not the relaxing Holiday I had planned for my Mother as you can imagine.
But the Cottage is beautiful and well equipped, just think more checks should have been made to the outside of the property to ensure wasps had not returned from previous time.
