It was under construction so it smelled weird. The staff was very friendly and helpful and attentive to our needs. The pool and hot tub werent working.

The bathroom door would not close, the tub would not drain, the furniture was only partially there and had no light fixtures! That's just the beginning, the bed was a thin lumpy mattress and my back was aching in the morning. The one chair in the place was a wooden arm chair and nothing that was comfortable. The TV remote only turned the TV on and off, it did not change channels or volume control. There was a biker group staying there also, so we were awakened many times throughout the night by the loud voices and motorcycles revving their engines outside our room. We were the first room when you came up the stairs, so we also heard every noise of anyone coming upstairs. Thank goodness we were only staying one night!

The stay was ok, what bothered me is the cleaning service people were out talking by my room at 7:30 am. They were very loud, knocked on my door at 8:30 and I told them I would be leaving right before 11am. Then they did the same thing at 9:45 which was annoying.

Very affordable stay! The hotel is a little older, but is getting ready for some updates. Very nice staff and the hot breakfast was perfect. Rooms were very clean and bed were comfortable.

This Best Western was the worst i have ever stayed at. Very 7nclean, the entire hotel smelled of mildew, cery dirty, the doors keys didnt witk on the entrance doors, our room door handle was broken. Once i got i to room it was a horrible smell of old stale mildew, there was a coffee pot but no coffee and i was told they ordered it but hasnt been delivered. When i was ready to pull the bed comforters down i noticed three black hairs on the bed and yellow stains on the pillow. The hot tub couldnt have been 70° cold. If i could give this hotel a negative star review i would -5

the floor in the shower was dirty and the ceiling was a mess
The TV remote was falling apart and the pillows were stained.
We have stayed there many times in the past and we realize that they were renovating however that is no excuse
for the condition of the rooms they were still renting.

Indian owner had his whole family there going in and out of storage with a crying baby. There was a picture of an Indian person like a shrine in the window. Breakfast was limited and gross. Won't ever go back here.

The bed was comfortable. Clean room. Breakfast was one small biscuit and even smaller sausage sandwich. Only permitted 1. Coffee good.

Traveled here for a funeral staff was great, although the breakfast buffet wasn’t a buffet like the last time I have stayed. Definitely could have been a better experience like previous stays. It was quiet overall so wasn’t as bad as it could have been.

Pool and hot tub weren't heated. Most of the equipment in the fitness center was broken in some way.

Sketchy neighborhood. Out dated rooms. They are doung construction so you hear saws during the day. No elevator. I use a cane and was told when I got there only stairs, they were kinda steep. Prolly wouldnt stay again for that price.

The hotel was generally clean but after a long day of travel we was so looking forward to soaking in the jacuzzi. The jacuzzi water was brownish/green & had gunk on the surface of the water. We was so disappointed.
The breakfast was not the freshest it could be. Also it wasnt as clean as we would of liked.

Property was old and outdated. Location was not very good as we saw multiple homeless people around the night before checking in and the morning after.
Breakfast was lackluster and they were out of a bunch of stuff (and weren’t refilling it even though it was 30 minutes before it ended.
Beds were fine (traditional firm beds like most hotels) but the rooms needed updating and were just pretty “grimy” from years of use. Saw multiple hairs in the shower as well (just poor cleaning).
Overall would have been a better choice to go to one of the other hotel options at this exit.

This hotel has decided to be "pet friendly" in every room. We are severely allergic and didn't know this when we booked online. The first room smelled like wet dog. It was awful. The next room was a bit better, but still had an odor. We ended up staying and taking heavy allergy meds because we were completely exhausted. The only good thing about the hotel was the check in woman who apologized over and over and tried to make it right by offering to let us try the second room or refund our money and try to find another hotel. We will NEVER stay at another Best Western as long as they do not set aside rooms that are completely pet free. We love animals, but they should NOT be forced on us in hotels or restaurants or grocery stores. This hotel was also very dated and needs upgrading badly.

Room wasn’t ready at check in time but soon after. Room was in decent condition but there was no soap anywhere in the room for washing hands. There was a refillable tissue box in the bathroom but it was empty. The shower had a curtain but no liner - not sure if the curtain was supposed to double as a liner, but it didn’t seem like a water proof material so I’m not sure.

I like staying at this hotel. When we are in the area, this is where we stay. Very clean, friendly staff and quite area. I have no complaints about my stay at this hotel.

We, and all the people we came in contact with, felt the pool was uncomfortably cold. No one wanted to swim in it. PLEASE warm it up some. We were disappointed we couldn't swim while there.

Very pleasant stay. Room was clean and all appliances worked. Nice to have coffee in the room. Breakfast room was clean and food was good. Pleasant breakfast hostess.

Stayed 1 night and it was fine. Front desk person was very nice. When I booked this hotel I didn't realize there wasn't an elevator and was traveling with an elderly person using a walker. Again, my own fault but we managed. Room was clean & bed was comfortable.

The room was spacious and comfortable. We had some road noise from the highway nearby. Staff was friendly and check in was smooth and quick.

This hotel is filthy, the bathroom was moldy, the carpets were stained and dirty and the room smelled awful. There was evidence that someone had been laying on top of the bed. I do have photos but they are too disgusting to attach. Needless to say, I did not stay. Neither the Best Western in Richmond nor Hotels.com will process a refund. Buyer beware.

When I checked in the room was dirty, and there was a dirty towel hanging on the bathroom door. I asked for the bathroom to be cleaned. When I returned they had given me new towels but the bathroom was not cleaned.
Later there was a bug on my son when he was laying on the bed. I don't know if it was a bed bug. We only saw the one bug.
The pool was disgusting. Full of green algae.
We checked out early.
Just don't stay here. Spend a little more and stay somewhere else.
