Very clean and great service!

Covered parking is a real bonus where there is frequent snow - avoids having to dig out the car in the morning.
The staff were all really friendly and helpful.
Store in the lobby with 24/7 staff is helpful where local dining options are often limited.

The hotel is clean and modern. It has a bright airy openness to it. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. They go out of their way to ensure each customer is well cared for.

Clean room, good selection for breakfast. Front desk was very patient when our booking thru Hotels did not show up for 2 hours after we booked it.

Absolutely LOVED our stay at the Hampton Inn in Lead SD. Front reception was welcoming when we checked in; our room was super clean; the rooms on our floor were quiet, as were the halls; the recently remodeled Hampton Inn was and clean from the gathering spaces to the kitchen breakfast area. Wi Fi was great; the large TV had good reception. We really liked the covered parking area with spaces that were wide, it was nice to have parking in that area. The 3 breakfasts we enjoyed were different each day; selection was wide and plentiful. Also, the hotel offers 'grab and go' breakfast bags, i found those are for folks leaving early, and contain fruit, bagels and PB usually, also would be great for workers staying at the hotel. Also the room we had had a closet instead of a rack for clothes. I would recommend to my friends and we'll book there next time we head toward Lead!

Very clean and modern after a recent renovation. Huge lobby and lounge area. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I’d ever had. Huge variety of food with a chef on site cooking. 10/10, nicest chain hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Close to deadwood and black hills.

Clean, renovated-like-new hotel with friendly, helpful staff in a perfect location across from the business I was visiting. Gas, liquor and grocery stores located within walking distance right across the street.

There were black wasp-looking insects in our room and it wasn't the cleanest, but it was cheap.

Conveniently located close to Deadwood and only an hour away from Mt Rushmore and Custer State Park, I booked this hotel last minute and got a great price. Definitely not a resort, but for what I paid, I got what I expected. Comfortable king size bed, flat screen TV, fridge, and coffee machine. Bathroom is very small. There's free coffee in the morning but no breakfast. Decent Wifi. The next day, I asked to book for another night, and they accommodated me no problem, with an even lower rate! The receptionist gave me good suggestions on where to visit in the area. I wouldn't hesitate to stay hear again.

Over all good experience. Check in staff was good. Room clean and orderly. When I looked out my window, I could see the roof of the convention center and there were heating units that had the panels off and wires exposed. It appeared that they had been that way for a while. That is not a confidence builder for the customer when it comes to facility maintenance and safety. Front desk person was absent for about 10 minutes during prime check out time on Sunday.

Great Hotel Fantastic price perfect stay. I stated an extra day to see Mt Rushmore.

This hotel could be so much more with just a little extra effort from the staff and mgmt. breakfast options would be Great, making sure the hair dryers work, adding a bible to the room. Beautiful building! Beds could be updated... Kinda lumpy.

Ok, let's be real. This is a cheap hotel so things are "worn in". Staff is nice, but don't expect much except for a good price. You get what you pay for and I was happy based on what I paid.

There are some wonderful features of this location. We got them at the end of some renovations and during another phase. It looks like the place will be very inviting when it is complete.

Air conditioner didn't work in first room. No maid service . We stayed 2 nights . No clean towels. Ran out of toilet paper. But had to be moved to new room due to water leak on floor above and water was pouring through bathroom ceiling . So there was towels and toilet paper in that room. But a dirty towel was hanging over the shower curtain rod. No breakfast .

Property has no handicap parking, no facilities for the blind and the bathroom door handle was not ADA-compliant, meaning that one of our family was trapped in the toilet because it was round and could not grasp the knob firmly enough. This is inexcusably pathetic when you consider that the law requiring things like lever handles on doors (Americans with Disabilities Act) went into effect in 1993!
Aside from the front desk (free coffee) and laundry service, there are no amenities. This 'resort' has no pool, no spa, no restaurant. Most places in town close at 8pm, so the only choice in walking distance is the Round House. They denied us service "until probably sometime after 10pm" because they were expecting a bus tour of indeterminate size, so serving us a bowl of soup was out of the question. We had to drive out of town to eat at 8pm. Thee was not even any kind of 'area guide' to suggest places to eat or things to do, which even cheap motels provide.
Bob's Silver Star Bar down the street is the only place to get a drink after dark, which is a few blocks further down the hill from the convenience store near the post office.
It is very quiet at night. The front desk staff are pleasant and the manager was kind enough to refund our stay after the male housekeeper (who did not provide enough towels, blankets, etc.) entered our room unannounced, startling the female guest.

When we arrived at the hotel the person in charge was sitting by the elevator. No greeting and had to ask who I checked in with. The bathroom had hair in the tub. There was used tissues at the head of one of the beds and crumbs on the floor and the bathroom floor was sticky. When we called down to let them know we got no apology or offer to take care of it. We needed an extra pillow (my dad is disabled and often had to sleep upright in a chair) and were told very rudely that they didn't have any and we'd have to deal with what we had. They came back later with the extra pillow that we were told they didn't have. I will not stay there again or recommend.
