The room was clean but the odor of the glade plug in air freshener was overwhelming to the point of being sickening. The noise from Patton Ave much more than I expected. The breakfast was the worst free motel breakfast I have ever experienced. The batter for the waffles was thin with globs in it and the coffee was black tar in a cup. The best thing is the location, but the"good for the price" only goes so far.

While the outside of the building, and lobby area, are run down the room itself was wonderful (this is second time I've stayed here). Wonderful stay for an affordable hotel.

The hotel is located in a busier part of town. Parking is not great. There is parking on site, but it was full a free times. There’s overflow parking nearby, but questionable. The room was adequate clean. Noise from the street woke us up in the early morning. Adequate stay.

The building is fine, it is dated but not a big issue. The check-in was a disaster, we arrived at 4:30, room was not ready. I asked how long it might be and was told “I don’t know, I just got here”, I was told I could wait in the lobby. Then I asked, after about 20 minutes, if I could go up and see if things were ready and was told no. We finally returned our bags back to our car and went to dinner, after being told they would text us when the room was ready. No text ever came. No apology was ever given.

This is an older and old style motel with outside corridors. So, know this from beginning. It looks “dated” because it is. However, the bed felt new and was very comfortable. The room was clean and had everything you need. Continental breakfast was basic but adequate. It is located next to major road into downtown (Patton Ave) so street noise can be load. But then, hotel is located near downtown. So, there are many restaurants and places within walking distance. A big thing for me was the friendliness and helpfulness of staff. Will stay there again.

We were unable to stay because there was no parking for our truck and camper. You need to advertise that!!

The room was basic but clean and comfortable! Excellent location with great walkability to fun bars and restaurants. Definitely dated and could use some TLC in the common areas but priced right!

The hotel was worn but in good repair. The staff was really friendly and the location was excellent downtown near restaurants. Parking was convenient. We were on motorcycles and the hotel had covered motorcycle space near the front door!

This hotel is far cheaper than anything else downtown for a reason, and that’s because it is entirely no frills. The common areas and reception are run down looking and are alarming to see when you first arrive, but the rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable. Mattress was excellent, pillows were fluffy, blankets and sheets felt nice, bathroom was spotless, and the mini split AC/heater was a fantastic upgrade from the nasty window units you get in most budget hotels. The free breakfast included a waffle maker, bagels, frozen breakfast biscuit sandwiches, yogurt, etc. The room has a big fridge in it that kept things ice cold and was large enough for normal items, not just a tiny bar fridge. Parking was a bit of a fiasco since we arrived on Saturday evening and the main lot was full, but they go to great lengths to make sure you know where you can and can’t park. There is no daily housekeeping service but maybe this is the norm nowadays. After a great night’s sleep, everything downtown was an easy walk away—I’m talking restaurants, theaters, shopping, everything. You can’t beat the location, price, comfort, and value, as long as you don’t care that there’s absolutely nothing fancy aside from your mattress and HVAC and that the common areas make it look like it’s much more run down than it actually is. Very happy we chose this hotel, and the owner was even at breakfast thanking us for our stay!

Excellent 5 star hotel! Great location to be able to walk to things around downtown. Breakfast that goes until 11:30 which is great and rare these days! Reasonably priced and has parking that is not any additional charge. Clean room with no problems. I had a good visit! I was there off season so it was relatively quiet, other than my room being near the elevators so I heard them. The room was nice, comfy bed, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, TV, safe on the floor, excellent lighting & the fixtures all worked! I liked that the room door opened up to the outside hall in some ways but the downside was not wanting to leave the curtains open to enjoy the sun because people could see right in. The manager lady was super friendly. Breakfast was a good variety. The lobby decor is definitely on the cheap-Euro-hostel side, but the free parking, walkable location, free breakfast & quality of the room made up for that. It’s definitely a budget hotel but for the money, & the great location, it was good. Asheville itself was a bit surprising, I loved the Mountain Views, artsy shops & restaurants but being a solo traveler it felt a little sketchy after dark IMHO.

Rooms and hotel is dated and also clean and comfortable. For the price it is a great place to stay in downtown Asheville. Park your car in their lot and explore Asheville, most of the downtown is walkable from the hotel.

First of all, the employees kept the hotel clean all weekend. The lobby and elevator were mopped and wiped down often throughout our stay. Second, I believe they could use more staff. We had a leak above our shower and tub on Sunday evening but I guess that made it tough to call for a maintenance person at that time. We were moved, which took quite a bit of time to process. The people who checked us in on Friday evening were very good and were able to explain overflow parking clearly. I would stay again with these things in mind as it was a clean, affordable, and safe experience. I do hope the owners work on renovating the rooms and adequately pay their staff for the hard work they do.

Overall, good value for the money. I would recommend ear plugs when sleeping not for the loud urban noise but for the beeping coming from the cross walk lights outside warning that walk is about to become "Don't Walk". You can't hear it most of the time except for when it gets quiet after midnight partying ends

Thank goodness this is a cheap hotel! Its just worn and tired.
