I was in town for a softball tournament. The tournament got rained out and the hotel would not let me cancel my booking for the rest of the stay. I asked them before 9:00 am and they refused to cancel. I was charged for a night that I did not stay. When I tried to call later in the morning to talk to someone she hung up on me 3 times.

Stopped over for two nights on the way to somewhere else. Wanted to Give Montgomery a look. This hotel is in a good location. 15 minutes from downtown ant the Capitol. Mant restaurants close by. Holiday Inn Express is usually a great choice and this place fit their reputation. Not brand new but clean, well maintained, friendly staff, efficient, and well appointed. Breakfast was fantastic. The breakfast area was neat clean and organized. The buffet was very clean, well stocked, and was looked over by a wonderful lady named Kathy. I've had the blessing to travel a bit and been to many "Breakfast Included" hotels, but I must say this one was probably the best. Thank you Kathy!

Clean and comfortable. Firm bed (good for me); pillows were iffy. (Said soft on one and firm on the other but there seemed to be little difference.) Room HVAC was easy to adjust. Power blinds and drapes were a plus.
Roll-in shower was good. Plenty of clean towels and washcloths. Eco-friendly soap, shampoo, and conditioner.
Hotel staff were very polite and helpful.
Breakfast was a disappointment - meh.

We enjoyed our stay, The rooms were clean and smelled fresh. We especially enjoyed the sheets and comforters as they were soft and silky. The breakfast was delicious and had many offerings.

The hotel was fine. Needed some updating but not terrible. Area around hotel was very sketchy- homeless people everywhere. I’m sure I could have had my choice of street drugs from the guys outside the gas station across the street. It’s not a matter of if a car will get broken into in the parking lot, it is how many will be broken into. Again, the hotel was not bad- no complaints. The hotel was conveniently located near expressway, the gas station across the street had a large selection of Boones farm wine and malt liquor, there were a few fast food restaurants close by but, I would not feel safe walking in the area around the area around the hotel at night.

There were people loitering in the building next door at ~12:30 am on a Sunday. Concerned about car. i don’t feel like this hotel was worth the money

Expedia was a HUGE disappointment as Expedia lost our reservation. After more than an hour of waiting, Expedia said they could no longer guarantee our reservation and left it up to us to secure a reservation through the hotel. The agent did not even attempt to secure a reservation for us to make it right. I thought that was the whole purpose of using Expedia...
Thankfully the hotel made it right and actually gave us a room cheaper than what we had reserved through Expedia.

The staff at this hotel were absolutely wonderful and the room was clean and comfortable. There is an abandoned hotel next to it with a lot of questionable people hanging around but the hotel takes excellent precautions for their guests. The hotel staff did inform me that the state just bought the hotel next door this month and will be cleaning it up and kicking all those people out. The staff at this holiday inn really were a 10/10. Very nice, accommodating, and go above and beyond!

Lisa - The woman who staffed breakfast. She not only was friendly but on top of everything - making sure food was replenished, floors mopped if there was any little mess, tables wiped down, etc. I have been on a road trip from New Orleans to Nashville - she stood out in terms of high standards and customer service. None better! She does her job with a sense of pride, rare these days.
She should be recognized for her exceptional work ethic.

The Hotel was very clean, the room was clean and comfortable. The room had a mini fridge, but no microwave ( it was located downstairs) slight inconvenience. Staff was pleasant and the breakfast in the morning I’ll rate as very good and fresh.

This holiday in was the worst. In the middle of a very sketchy neighborhood with drugs everywhere. The pillows were soft and breakfast was hot but not holiday in standard

I didn’t care for the free breakfast. I only used it once because the hot options were just eggs and meat prefer hot cereal not instant choices. My stay was great because of the kind and professional staff, comfortable room, and great location
