Black mold everywhere in the bathroom and clearly being painted over and over to try and hide it. The walls are paper thin, could hear the neighbors conversations day and night. Dated, dirty and definitely not as pictured. Bikes for use are not allowed out of the parking lot, the front desk checked them out, said nothing, we went to the gate and he said no, went back inside to get permission and was met with “of course you can’t take them on the bike path.” What’s the point of offering bikes? The key didn’t work to our unit, asked for a different room and was evening willing to pay more if necessary and was told no. Tub didn’t drain properly so I stood in an inches of water for every shower. Planes taking off overhead day and night. If you want to eat at the restaurant, make sure to make reservations. They won’t seat you without them, went into town to eat instead, would’ve been nice to know at check in. This is not a resort! I also stayed over in the Rincon area at a beautiful resort for the same price, definitely worth it! Check out The Horned Dorset, customer service was amazing, the lady at Villa Montana could learn a thing or too from them!

Everything is well kept, but our unit was utterly charmless and old. Temperature at our arrival was set to a freezing 62 degrees, not exactly eco-friendly. We liked the restaurant by the water a lot, everyone was very friendly and the food was excellent although expensive. There is a natural area right next to the hotel for long walks ar the beach. The water in front of the hotel is wavy, but there are some nice coral heads and fish. The pool area is bare, all fenced in like a prison, not a friendly place. The grounds are a bit boring, but the many palm trees host a lot of birds, even parrots.

Beautiful property overall. Villa was spacious and clean with good proximity to beach. The restaurant food and staff is excellent!

Loved everything about the resort. Staff,dinning, bar and pool, were beautiful. Looking forward to going again.

No hot water. Definitely showing it's age. Bed was awful. Service at the restaurant was good. Bedding, pillows towels not so great.

Resort is very beatiful and quiet. We enjoyed our stay. Thw downside was that we stayed 3 nights and didnt get any type of room service and the room didnt even had a trash can. I suggest to offer room service for stays that are 2 nights or more.

Beautiful

The location is wonderful and secluded. It has it's own beach and lots of onsite amenities. However, I do believe the location should have a sundry type of market or convenience shop as there is nothing around to grab snacks. There is one restaurant that has water and food. And although delicious, a small type market or some options at the front desk would be great. Also, you either have to take a car ride or rent a car to get to anyhere outside of the resort. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend to anyone visiting.

Everything was great, the only comment is that the master bedroom had cockroaches so we decided to sleep in the extra room we had.

Beautiful

We arrived to check in close to 10:30 pm and the lobby was about to close for the day. They gave us the key to our room and a quick info of where our room was located. It took me an hour trying to locate the entrance door of our room because the facility is not well lighten. The lobby was closed so I was able to find a security guard and he was also trying to locate the room with his flash light. We went through two back patios of other customers rooms trying to find the number of the room at 11:30 pm. Finally found the room and the entrance was located towards the back of the building had to cross an other customers patio to enter to my room, very acquired entrance to such an expensive Resort. The Bed was not comfortable at all and the room was not sound insulated. I could hear every sound of our neighbors, Dog, Baby, talking and the television. Found a live water bug in my bathtub and got bit by a spider while I was sleeping. Was not satisfied for the price I paid!

Overall I really enjoyed this resort! The property and our villa location were beautiful. There are quite a few things that are different from all the pictures online. The most important thing is remembering that this island has experienced two hurricanes in the last 6 yrs. So, I didn't feel it was "out dated" but more so having to recover the best way possible. Our villa was clean as was the property. There are numerous critters around that can be a surprise and BUGS so take the insect repellent! The single resturant (which has a limited menu) was a negative and they appeared to be under staffed. It's fantastic and I loved it but kids/teens may not, esp if you are staying more than a couple of days. If there were some other source for snacks/drinks, even a vending machine, it wouldn't be so bad. Otherwise, you need a car & to visit the grocery store! The other big negative was pool hours being 9a-6p!!! This area of beach is not very swimmer friendly, so not having access to swimming pools past 6p was a shocker & disappointment. Esp after the "welcome" letter states closing is 10p. They do have communication via What's App that I found extremely nice. It provides a property map, access to the Eclipse menu etc. But honestly it is a very serene location and easy to fall in love with. Every morning I was up (w/o an alarm) and would head to the beach w/coffee & my book! I would definitely visit again with the needed adjustments to our needs.

The area is beautiful and the room is spacious. However, furniture was in poor condition, the bed was bigger than the mattress and the mattress was so old it made sounds any time we moved in the bed.

Nice location, the size of the room was nice, everything worked. The furniture was to simple, the bed frame was old and the bed was noise every time I moved. My room/villa didn’t have a number so it was hard to find it. And it wasn’t the only one. I had to open it from the back side of the building, they need signs and to add it to the electronic map as well. The shower contain looked dirty and There was not enough beach chairs at the beach.

Excellent place! Loved our stay. The views and serenity of the resort was amazing, super relaxing. Will be booking again!

The room was not ready at the check in hour. The hotel is good , have two pools, direct beach access, restorant, is very quiet, rooms are comfortable and clean.

Villa Montaña Beach Resort is a great place to stay and escape the chaos of daily life. The stay was great, the only two things that could be better are the beds which are not that comfortable and Eclipse Restaurant needs to expand the menu because it’s too limited.

An amazing tropical paradise with a very friendly staff. Looking forward to a second, much longer visit.
