It’s pretty old, run down. It wasn’t cleaned the best, but I’ve been to a hotel where I slept fully clothed on top of the covers and I didn’t feel that was necessary here. It is cheap and it works for a night when you’re driving across the country and you need a place to sleep at 2:00 am. If you just need a place to catch some zzz’s and then get up and keep moving, and you want to stretch you dollars, this will work!

Walking in we find dirt on one mattress top. Looking further, dust bunnies that our cat very easily brought to the beds, increasing our allergies. Pillows very flat. Animal hair under fited sheet, before zippered mattress pad protector. Limited towels available. Limited English for front desk staff this morning.

Reserved four rooms for 6 nights through Expedia at $60.68/night (tax included). At check in, I was told I had only reserved one room. I asked the clerk to pull up my son-in-law's name (one of the other three reservations I made) and voila, it appeared and he was able to check in. Had the clerk pull up another name of our party and it too was in the computer, as well as the fourth member's name. When i asked the clerk to pull up the fourth name, it had mysteriously disappeared,The clerk proceeded to charge me for all three of the first three rooms and said he did not have a fourth reservation. After asking for the owner/manager, he assured me that even though I had only reserved one room, he would "take care of me" and told two of his staff something in their native language. One of the staff then tried to charge me a "special" price of $100/night for the fourth room. I told him no, so he countered with $75/night. I told him that was not the rate I had booked at and he then countered with $70/night. i lost my temper at this point, having been dealing with these clowns for an hour and 20 minutes so far. I screamed at them "I don't care what you charge me. Charge me whatever you want because I will be disputing all the charges and claiming fraud, so you will get ZERO!" Suddenly had their attention and after conversing further in their native language, they reduced the nightly rate on the fourth room to $49.95/night (plus tax) and charged my card for the fourth room.

Arrived late and was able to get two beds in a non smoking pet friendly room. But once we got in the room the room smeeled of smoke and the floors were dirty there were dead bugs on the floor and when I turned on the air it blew out dust bunny's everywhere... The shower was clean with exception to the shower curtain was very moldy... Then let's talk the beds. One bed was OK the other had spots on it and looked like something was dripped down its side and not cleaned.... You get what you pay for..

After 11 parking lights and balcony walkways lights was off . Wake up 6 am lights was off , dark I use my phone light to walk star down .

Property wasn’t what it was advertised, non smoking room that people had clearly been smoking in as you could smell it, bed sheets with cigarette burns and dirty. Air con was broken. The swimming pool had no water and was filthy. Very very poor standards

I do like like the colors in the room. I didn't like the towels that appeared dirty or the room or facilities that appear very outdated & Unmaintained. Mr. Bodett would not approve.

This hotel is so filthy we checked out minutes after checking in!! Bed linens stained.. it was hard to tell if the bedding was even clean. Room smelled of urine. Turned on the AC and the room filled with a musty odor. Don’t be fooled by the photos of the building or room online - nothing is as shown. If they showed photos of the actual property and room no one would ever think of staying there. We were offered another room, but I doubt they could come up with a clean room. Most disgusting hotel. We left and drove 1 1/2 hours to Sioux Falls. Not sure how the SD Health Department lets them stay open.

Booked 2 rooms for family as we were in Mitchell for State Baseball. Had never stayed in a Motel 6 before and was glad they could accomodate us as late as we booked through expedia. Rooms were small & clean with exception of one bathroom still had a dump in the stool. The one shower had limited water pressure. Towels and washcloths are very thin.The noise level of the air conditioner made it hard to sleep - as I am a light sleeper. And the light/fan in bathrooms were very loud. It did have a micro and refrigerator in room - no coffee maker. It was our last choice as every other hotel was full.

The floor and the inside of the shower curtain in our room were not very clean. I could see through the bath towel because it had worn so thin. We didn't get clean towels for our second night.
Proximity to the event was good and front desk was helpful when our key card didn't work.

The room had an unusual odor. Also the towel rack above the toliet was missing, I found it on the floor behind toliet.

This is the worst place I've ever stayed in. It was dirty, water coming through the bathroom light. There were 12 of us in 4 rooms, and we all slept in our clothes. Will never stay there again!

Small area in the back corner for pets, outdoor pool didn't look like it has functioned for a while! Fridge in my room was frozen up, needs to be defrosted.
Ice machine in the lobby, was only good for a handful of ice at any given time! Friendly staff, lots of activity outdoors from extended stay guests!

It was a terrible place. Dirty walls. Floors. Doors dirthy on back side. They need fresh paint. It was all we could do to stay there. But had paid in advance. I would like our money back, but we know that wont happen. Not only that but when they took shower above us, there water came through our shower light fixture. It was a bad night.

Accommodating..you get what you pay for...these guys are responsible compared to the other greedy people on this exit.

This place was way better than I expected for the price. The person at the front desk was super sweet and made sure I knew where everything was.
The room was very clean, and the shampoo they gave smelled amazing. The beds and pillows were perfect! I highly recommend this motel.

Ive stayed at a lot of motel 6. This one i was very disappointing 😞. Dirty outside, trash cigarette butts on the ground. Rooms were not as clean as they should have been.
Blood on the walls. Bugs and guts. Boot and shoe marks on the back of the doors.
I was very disappointed in this location.
I with not be staying again, at least the one in Mitchell South Dakota.

Counters were not cleaned off (coffee stains that we wiped off), dirty purple lace panties under the sink, non-smoking room that was very obviously smoked in, turn on the AC and animal hair started flying out (we cleaned the filters out…you’re welcome), and mildew on the baseboards and shower. We had to literally drag out dog into the room…she refused to go in the room and tried to get out our entire stay.
We would have been better just staying in our car for the night. Will definitely not ever return…nor recommend.
