This was an amazing stay! Great pool and the spa was fantastic! At at all restaurants. One was not so good-but have eaten there before and was good so I will assume it was a “one off”. Italian restaurant was fabulous and fantastic service and food. All staff was very friendly and helpful.

The resort was nice. They just nickel and dime you for everything.

Had never been to Tucson Arizona and have to say that my stay was phenomenal. Beautiful hotel and location. The room and accommodations were fantastic. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was also outstanding and the 5:30pm tequila toast was fun! There's a easy hiking/walking train right at the entrance of the hotel. Would definitely return!
Also a great place for a conference!

Very nice place to stay alcohol prices were a bit excessive!!

Our 1st night was fantastic. Great live music and a beautiful dinner at the Signature Grill. The second night was New Years Eve and I felt the live entertainer was not great. He played non stop. Very loud and seemed not to know a lot of the music he played by request. Since he played so late into the night, we could still hear him from our room.

When I requested anything from the front desk eg housekeeping and a minor repair, it was handled promptly.
The food and service in the restaurants were wonderful and we enjoyed the Christmas decorations. We felt very well taken care of in all aspects!

Hot water took 20 mins or sometimes longer to heat up. Other than that everything was spot on great.

This is a beautiful hotel, the staff are very professional, polite and friendly. There are so many places to wander on the property with the terrace area with the firepits being my favorite.

We were celebrating Thanksgiving and our family (10 people) decided to do it at Starr Pass. We had a great time visiting, hickin the trails, golfing, and having a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. Everyone loved it.

This place sucks. It's worn out, dirty and poorly managed. 5-star resort? This is the Motel 6 of Marriott properties.
Only positive is the front desk hospitality. The gal that checked us in was friendly, efficient and helpful.
Room is garbage for the price. Outdated, visible wear on the nightstands and TV armoire/dresser. Water never really gets hot, just lukewarm. They have gone bargain basement with shampoo and the like; no individual units and what they have in their refillable bottles is absolute trash. And what's the deal with no real door on bathrooms these days? Barn doors, especially poorly installed barn doors, are just plain stupid. Mattress is rock hard, too.
Pool area is a joke. So bad we didn't even bother the next day. Dirty, dirty, dirty. We went late evening, and there were no clean towels that were easy to access (or folded), half empty cups, used towels and trash randomly strewn about, and it was ridiculously dark throughout the pool area. My girlfriend stubbed her toe on a concrete curb because of the lack of lighting. Pools are funky. Lots of paper and random crap in the lazy river, weird stuff touching my feet in the hot tub, and trash in the bottom of the pools.
EVERY SINGLE TABLE in the courtyard area was dirty. Whether it be cup rings, spills, empty glasses or dishes, nothing was being maintained.
5 Star resort folks. And they charge for that "privilege" nightly. The long and short is you'd have a better experience at a well run Hampton Inn.

Wonderful property just outside Tucson. My son and I traveled for a soccer showcase and enjoyed relaxing after games in the lazy river and room service in bed. The staff was all friendly, the resort was spotless and the rooms are nice size.

The stay was great. Fun time and nice atmosphere. The bed was pretty hard and made my back hurt just after 1 night, but the room was clean and everything else was great.

Was treated very poor by the front desk clerk upon check in. We paid 400 dollars after taxes through Expedia with an expected 35.00 dollar charge at the property by JW Marriott Starr Pass. As I inquired about the status of our room at 3:58pm, official check in at 4:00pm, I was told that our room was not ready and we would have to wait and that there would be a 100.00 dollar charge for “incidentals” on a card. A little more than I expected but still no problem. As the front desk associate rang me up for the “incidentals” charge, my card declined… Twice. Uhmm odd, I have plenty of room on one and plenty of funds in the other. I assured them that this shouldn’t be an issue on my end. She then informed me that I needed to call my bank and that she was sorry but the card was declined.
I of course was very confused and immediately went back to my vehicle where my wife and two children had been waiting in 110 degree heat. I called my financial institution to find that absolutely everything is square on my end and they don’t even show a record of a charge being attempted either time.
(Now I know I’m just some blue collar business owner bumpkin but I can tell when I am being discriminated against because of how I look.)
After 40 minutes of trying to figure out why my cards had so called been declined, not allowing me access to the hotel which I spent 400.00 dollars on for one night, I got back in line for the front desk.

The fireworks display for the 4th of July celebrations was awesome. Had a fun time.

Loved the fact that restaurants and lazy river are close by. Did not like that we were not told of the pool being closed for a special event. We were unable to utilize the pool during our stay.

I loved having Starbucks on site. There were several incidents with snakes by the pool and giant spiders so being on high alert really disturbed our stay.

Service at the pool bar/restaurant was mediocre and the bar tender was rude. Check-in is 4pm and everything around the pool closes at 5pm, disappointing. Rooms are a little outdated for paying almost $400/night and you still have to pay $10 to park your own car. Meh, better service at the conquistador.

Very clean and loved the atmosphere.
