We had a great stay. Joseph and Sean (concierge) were especially helpful, proactive, and kind. They went above and beyond to assist us with our stay. We also really enjoyed the breakfast.

The room was comfortable and clean. I was there for a conference and the hotel did all the catering - food was fantastic. Breakfast buffet was great. Lots of selection and variety. There is a cappuccino machine and juices were freshly squeezed. Overall the conference ran very smoothly. Definitely recommend staying at this hotel for business or holiday.

If you want a 1980s domestic travel experience in Taiwan then stay at this hotel. It’s decor and facilities are largely untouched from the days when the first generation who experienced the great Taiwan economic miracle started taking leisure trips. Service comes with a heavy Japanese, deep bow and is very good, which tells you that the Evergreen company culture is as strong as ever, but whoever is in charge isn’t really paying much attention to anything else. You can stay in a much better, modern place for the same value.

1. Breakfast quality was disappointing. 2. Counter and dining service was mediocre and considerably below standard for the general Taiwanese service industry. 3. Check-in/out process was smooth without complications.

Rooms had bad smell of dampness. Hasn't been renovated for a good few year's. Basic bathroom facilities (old style). Small TV'S not suited for luxury sweet. Leisure centre very basic, swimming pool average, no hot tup. Breakfast was excellent for Tawanese conditions. Overall very poor value for money. Certainly not 5 Stars, more like a 3 Star.

The nice five-star hotel with lovely service just lack of organisation for checking In and out.

Went there a few times. English staffs ok. Good breakfast (rare in Taiwan). I like the possibility to play Squash (extra fee). Switch games for kids (didn't try). Outdoor swimming pool is ok (low to high deep, 110cm? To 160-170cm). Small pool for smaller kids too.

I had a 5 nights stay at the Evergreen Hotel and was pleasantly surprised and very impressed by the high quality room (which was in great condition, very clean, and very comfortable) and most especially with the high quality staff who work in this hotel (all of whom are very professional, courteous, friendly, helpful, and most of them could speak fluent English, which is a huge plus). If/when I visit Taichung again, I would choose to stay in this hotel again, and if you're having a hard time choosing what hotel to stay in while visiting Taichung, I would highly recommend that you pick this hotel and make your booking now. Definitely a 5-stars hotel and a 5-stars experience.

Convenient, centrally located hotel. The decor was more like the late 80s/early 90s; however, facilities were clean and the rooms spacious. One of our rooms was not available upon checkin in, but i cut them some slack since it was an extremely busy long weekend. It was available once we had returned from dinner. I’d recommend this hotel since it’s clean, spacious and convenient…so long as you don’t mind the 80s/90s decor.

Staffs are very nice
